Despite what they have said, I personally figured this was coming. I’ve learned to take what they say with a grain of salt. @Mikemetroid is right, the communication needs to improve drastically. There’s honestly no reason for the communication to be as awful as it is.

It IS weird that they’ve finally got the game going in a good direction competitively, have another Final Kombat coming presumably within the next year or so, and this is the last patch? Idk, I think it’s possible to see another balance patch (or maybe even patches) in the future. IF this was the last one, you’d think it would’ve been a much bigger one. But then again, NRS always seems to do things that don’t make a whole lot of sense and since they don’t communicate very well (or at all), we have no idea what’s going on and just have to speculate

MK1 surprised me. I hated the idea of kameos and thought the it would be shit. MK1 is a great game that got better each patch. It also has the best cast of any MK game imo. I think it is a return to form after the boring POS that was MK11.

Can someone clear things up for me? Didn’t Ed Boon say there will be many years of support? And this will be the longest supported game?

I think the MK Twitter/X account said the same thing.
he did say that but NRS doesn’t have final say on MK’s destiny, WB does.
Still I’m pretty bummed because I like MK1 a lot, all that was missing for me to really dig it was training mode during match making.

I don’t think I’ll buy another NRS game at launch again though. This was my first NRS game on launch day since the OG MK2, and it was a terrible launch.

NDA needs to understand that when they sell DLC fighters at a premium, we expect said DLC fighters to have the same amount of skins/gear/care as the base roster characters. It's bothered the heck out of me since MK9.

Before support ended, I wish all MK DLC characters had Union of Light/Order of Darkness skins AND were included in the final chapter of the base story mode. It just makes sense.

Guests could've had more gear and skins like they did with Conan/Ghostface.

I enjoy the game but it was clearly a step down in overall presentation. You could tell they were playing catch up to whatever end goalpost was decided.

Dude, I'm as 1000% serious. MK1 is truly PHENOMNEAL, and the story is the greatest story ever done in the whole genre. I've even made a whole thread explaining why the story is that good, and so is the rest of the single player content. And if this is what Dominic Cianciolo can do on his own, well I wouldn't mind at all for him to keep making stories and on his own, because the way he wrote MK1 was brilliant.

If you want, here's my thread.

MK1's story felt like a bad ripoff of Avengers Endgame. It even has the same corny, quippy style of humor.
