MK9 is backwards compatible on seriesX? I own a series X so that would be cool. Sure do it, it can't be unpunishable.

Man, i wish to be able to play MK9 online again, That game was so much fun!

The issue is I have mk 9 that's the xbox 360 best seller version or whatever, so i think it already has some patches on the disc. I am not talking about the komplete ediiton, have that too though..

My point is not that it is punishable NOW, after they nerfed the spin, removed the pushback and made it more negative, it is that it was not back then in the first (two or three?) patches...

I'm not the one saying you could do it if you simply put the effort and the MK games are easy. You are repeating your own arguments in a cyclical rethoric question.

But to take your bait, I'm not currently playing tournaments because I don't have an environment where I can currently play without being interrupted in a tournament setting. However, you can check my youtube channel and see me winning some casual matches multiple times vs some Evo players like Agamotto and Snakedoe (which, as a matter of fact was in grand finals last week vs ytecz, the guy who beat sonic in latam gamescon tournament). So yeah, I guess it would not be impossible for me to score some top 8s.

I play killer instinct, street fighter, fatal fury and mk.
I have TK8 I don’t really play it like that.

We had an era where lots of players from other games would come enter our tournaments. MK9 through the start of Injustice, it was common to see Justin Wong, PR Rog, etc. in NRS brackets.

That era is over, because since the middle of Injustice, all those players were bodied unceremoniously, and they know they have no chance. Even with the changes between games, the legacy mechanics of the NRS system keep people who aren't specializing in these games from getting very far.

They never took these games seriously, be honest. They would have wanted easy wins and since that's not possible cause nrs top guys are actually good, they left.

Are we really pulling the "they weren't taking the game seriously" OS?

If we're talking conspiracy theories, what is with this conversation coming up one to two times a year, with the same completely inane talking points, usually delivered by accounts that 1) have weird-beef-with-Sonic™ 2) are accounts that are either a few months old, or are necro'd from literally a decade ago, and 3) have some fetishization of the old guard like TB, PL, Chris G, hate the new era NRS greats / generally shit on NRS games / scene?

Stupidity abounds, so I doubt these are actual hideys. Either way, a lot of tough talk per usual from these accounts, feels ripe for some beef sets. Coming at @Felipe_Gewehr is particularly funny knowing how often they play top LATAM players.

The asian players took seriously ? aris took it seriously ? Prog ? chris did arrow combos from the first weeks after a year still.
