...No, we're not. Not with me. Not at all.
I am allergic to being lumped in with all the other sheepish fools that PL was getting mad about in the first place.
Sonicfox is, has always been, and will always be, ONE of the greatest individuals ever to compete in a video game, hands down and across the board.
With that being said, the level to which people have turned them into the Beyonce of the FGC (and I don't mean that as an insult, it feels really similar in my head) is ridiculous, where people fanboy to death over how there's no one you could ever put over them on the list of best ever to fight, in spite of the fact that Chris G and Justin Wong exist who are multi-game champions across space and time, including Capcom. To me, it is not about who's tried to cross over and failed from either side, but about the bare and simple fact that there are boxes others have checked that Fox has not that are more significant than the ones they have. It's just numbers for me, and all they need is ONE to put that entire argument behind them as the indisputable greatest fighting game player to ever live.
I still want to know the truth about Final Kombat Cyrax debacle. Fox could be the greatest human on Earth, and maybe they are, but there have been suspicious times, and no communication. That's just facts, and that's more an NRS problem for me. If you're really trying to stay on top forever, you're not turning down opportunities to win. I'm not even mad about it. But until there's ever any actual dialogue about it to make it clear that that wasn't as weird as it looked, it's always going to appear that way, especially when you're a studio whose famous for using trolls as an excuse to lead their community in the dark.
And for the record, I love that Sonic is who they are, because their fame and notoriety brought a lot of attention and good vibes to that entire community, and a whole bunch of people got to eat because of them.
