Meh it makes some sense. Every grappler needs a tool to get in. Reiko was somewhat unique in that he's a hybrid grappler, and one of his better "get in" tools is forcing them to come to you.

Facts! People have no problem taking your ability to play the game away from you via 50/50s, HTBs, etc. But god-fucking-forbid you can throw a projectile that they can duck under but instead choose to block! WHAT SHALL THEY DO?

The salt I feel getting mixed up and chipped out by easy offense isn’t much worse than losing to zoners.

Except for Raven. That’s one zoner I absolutely hate. She was really dumb and underrated in hindsight.

As a doomsday player, you know being able to say FU to the strong zoning in Injustice 1 made him and his trait super cool. The archetype opens up the game more in my opinion.

As I have stated a hundred times in this thread alone, defense and zoning are very weak in comparison to offense and rush down in Mortal Kombat 1.

It’s not like MK1 lacks for great normals. There’s lot of long range options to fuck around with and keep you out of grab range and close enough to punish fireballs.

Fuck reiko is barely the best grappler given how many characters can convert a throw into damage, but no one cried about liu

most of the people that play the game are sick of all the hate... you can only hear the exact same points so many times and go.. "I don't agree with that at all" or something like that, before you get sick of it.

Nothing anyone can say in this thread stops the fact MK1 is a awesome game, and is currently in a great state for the paople that like playing it. Noting anyone in this thread can say will stop the fact MK1 sold really well, is STILL selling well, and is in the top 15 best selling games of all time for the Ps5, nor will it stop the fact that the game has more regular players on ps5 than tekken or sf6.

They may hate the game and love dissing it, but the fact is the game is super popular and loved by a LOT of people... but we are all to busy playing it and having fun to notice threads like this.
