Stop. Reptile got Hella rounds of buffs. Honeybee cooks regularly with the character.

Don't...

Don't make me do this...

Not to you, brother. Not to you.

But in all seriousness - yes, he is fine. I honestly don't know what buff would I give him. I'm just saying some characters seem to be lacking something vs the absolute usual top dogs - perhaps they are just lacking players who are good enough and have interest in playing them. Who knows if SonicFox wouldn't win a Combo Breaker or something using Li Mei, I wouldn't put it past them, but he sticks with Sindel.

Honeybee cooks regularly with the character...
Last night, King Jr. and I recorded a podcast with the Flash Lord himself. The video will be uploaded very soon.

Honey Bee believes that Reptile is a poor man's version of Noob, and I agree with his rationale.

Noob fights at a similar range but has access to far better strings, projectiles, teleport, mix ups, etc.

Reptile is not a bad character, but he seems redundant in the current meta.

Honey Bee said that he would focus on using Noob and T-1000 in tournaments.

Well, I guess I gotta hold that.

Nothing to hold.

Dark uses Reptile and places well in online tournaments, but he resorts to secondary and tertiary characters to cover certain match ups.

For a string that has a gap, the second hit of b+3,1 being -7 on block is harsh.

A handful of characters have a similar normal attack that controls a similar range (i.e., Ghostface's f+2,1, Homelander's f+4,3, Raiden's f+4,3, Rain's b+3, etc.), but the normal attack is either faster and/or safer and/or lacking in gaps.

Mortal Kombat 1 is a fairly balanced fighting game, but obviously not every character can be top tier and have access to similar tools without substantial homogenization.

While content for the game is likely (albeit hopefully not) finished, I would love to see additional patches that give attention to characters like Reptile.

I'm at a point where I've finally found a lot to enjoy about the gameplay, I have a couple teams I have a lot of fun with, but playing the game online just sucks. Finding matches is a slog, even more so finding someone wired direct, and then you have to sit there waiting for them to also accept the match too. Then you play and it doesn't feel great anyway, like SF V quality netcode on average which is doable but certainly has a "feel" to it. I just wanna get back to loving MK so freakin' bad why is this so hard

Sorry I know my post has nothing new I just can't help but want to vent my frustration.
