MK9 was first.
Costume 1 Cyrax and Bi-Han Sub-Zero.
Also played a LOT of Ermac and Quan Chi.
Went to four or five majors. Got absolutely bodied. Hung out with the OG's and the TO's and this guy
@Mikemetroid who's pretty cool.
My inability to stop being a walking character crisis led me to learn almost the entire cast at a casual-as-hell level, but my total lack of how to actually compete and learn at that time kept me from doing much with that knowledge.
I started MKX before I even owned it with Balanced Kenshi, who never had a chance to be as good as he could be; it became passable with Aftershock Tremor, because watching DJT use him against Sonic and old busted Hunter Predator is what got me 100% hooked; it ended with Killer Leatherface, who is still the most fun I have ever had playing any NRS game that isn't MK9, and also ended with me pouring one out for Balanced Kenshi after he was given new powers with launching EX Overhead Slash, only to lose his strongest tool when EX Rising Karma lost its' armor.
Honorable Mentions goe to Slasher Jason and Bone Shaper Shinnok in the green Samurai armor. FUN. I MISS FUN. THIS GAME WAS AND STILL IS SO FUN.
MK11, there was literally only one character and one build from Day One until I dropped the game after Spawn came out: Noob Saibot.
Shadow Ball, EX Teleslam, Shadow Slide.
Annoying projectile, combo extender, and a Get Off Me Satan move. That was all I needed .
I got to Level Five in Towers Of Time with maybe six other characters, and I REALLY gave it a try with Raijin Raiden, but the game just didn't tickle my fancy enough to stay the whole way.
MK1...Sektor is without a doubt my Main Kameo, but I don't think I've even played MK1 enough to say I have my Main Main yet. That feeling of "THIS, THIS IS MY BAG, THIS RIGHT HERE" has evaded me all throughout. I wanted Ashrah to be the next Leatherface, and I spent enough time with Peacemaker to say I tried, but it simply is not time yet.
However, a second wave of DLC containing two of my lifetime mains, my favorite Kameo, and Robert friggin' Patrick as T-1000 makes me feel like it's not over yet. MKX didn't really pick up speed and start to feel like the powerhouse of a game it still is today until it went XL after Kombat Pack 2. I've just spent the entire last month playing Destiny 2 at least four times a week after not touching it since the end of last year when it was at its' literal lowest point since Year One, because Bungie pulled its' collective head out of its' ass long enough to drop The Final Shape and turn the ship around with an excellent campaign and a whole bunch of changes. The same can happen here.
