You'd be surprised. But to be honest, who the f even wanted Khameleon to come back? xD

I personally love C/Khameleon and like the whole "have all ninja powers in one character thing", but an improvement would be, as I mentioned before, making her powers use the same weapons from the other characters, but have different properties/animations/functions. That way you get a character with fans, sais and a bo staff while not copying any moves at all.But to be honest, who the f even wanted Khameleon to come back? xD she is in Mokap tier.
Moveset thiefs and Joke characters are the most uninspired ones out of the whole MK series.
That's why probably I never liked Shujinko and had some issues with Shinnok and Shang in the past.
If she is back - she needs to have her own moveset. Not Scorp's spear and Reptile's acid.
Having said that, I'm taking them all with my arms wide open over ANY guests.

You know it'll be only some snippets, the rest will be an exhausted to death mk1&2 retelling.
Same here. Nowadays when I hear the word "reimagine" (also applies to remakes and to a lesser degree remasters) in the context of works of fiction, I always cringe a little bit, or a lot, as it usually means "we are going to take all of these stories and characters that you grew up with and love and we are going to rip them apart and completely change them to the point they are unrecognizable". That's doubly true for MK11 and this new game. They didn't just limit their changes to a new universe, the way they do it in the MCU for example, so that the storylines from the comic books and animated series that Marvel fans grew up with are still there, and actively developing, in their original universes/timelines. Oh no, that's not the NRS way. As usual, they go to the extreme and literally come up with some ridiculous plot device to wipe out every universe in the MK multiverse, and start everything from scratch. My only concern is about the story. "Clean slates" and reimaginations are things I could never swallow...But it was kind of expected, so whatever.
Arrival of the Big Bad would be my guess. What are your opinions regarding the weird Dark Souls-esque eclipse going on? Shang doing some merging of realities sorcery thing? A bad omen for a new titan coming into play? Discuss!
If you think of it, mk1 is like the 4th "reboot" in a row.Same here. Why was that necessary? Probably because the NRS guys were tired of the same characters and the same storylines they've been doing for 27 years so they figured, well if we are going to be required, by WB, to keep making these games because people want them and they make WB a lot of money, we are going to literally wipe the slate clean and make a new game, like we've been wanting, and just call it MK. Of course, you can't forget the element of chasing trends and, instead of actually coming up with creative ways to further develop the existing storylines and characters, just taking the easy way out of basically doing what other games/movies etc., are doing and multiply it by 10. I, for one, am not entertained by this. I greatly disliked the story in MK11 and what they did with some of the characters, including Raiden, and the gameplay wasn't much better either. As a Raiden main, I am not a fan of what they are doing with him in this game either. I am probably going to be skipping this. I don't have a PS5 anyway and what I am seeing so far from this is not making me want to get one.

I would take her back... always thought she should come back. Mainly cuz poor Reptile deserves a break. Bring her back, make her Reptiles wife or sister, let the guy be happy. But to be honest, who the f even wanted Khameleon to come back? xD she is in Mokap tier.

It's a single trailer though and just because he doesn't seem to have powers in the trailer doesn't mean he won't. The obvious thunder behind him kinda hints at that. I highly doubt they're gonna make a playable Raiden and just have him be a monk with a staffSame here. wait... wtf.. people are sitting here saying Radian will not be throwing lightning and Kung Loa will not be using a razor hat? Man.. people will bitch and moan about ANYTHING... rofl.... i'm out... see ya after the next trailer reveal. My bet: Raiden is just like Liu Kang - has lightning powers while still being a human. Teleports, shocks and staff attacks, just like Liu had fireballs, teleports and nunchakus. Not worried AT ALL that he might not have his thunder powers.
To be honest I haven't (yet) seen anyone saying Kung Lao will not use his razor hat... I'm actually curious if there will be 2 Kung Laos and one of them doesnt use the razor hat. Or maybe they are costumes with a shared moveset and great kung lao just summons a spiritual blue-glowing edge on his normal straw hat that can make it have cutting properties?wait... wtf.. people are sitting here saying Radian will not be throwing lightning and Kung Loa will not be using a razor hat? I need me some gameplay trailer soon.
Get outHe just needs to unlock his arcana, then he'll get a razor hat.
Who's to say we're even gonna have a tournament this go around? The bio from Raiden in the very first MK(1992) stated that he became "mortal" in order to participate in the tournament.
He had all his signature moves. This one is no different.
But that's what he is. Kotal is a good general, but a poor Kahn. He was power hungry, seized said power, but it proved too much for him. He's very "human."Kotal: joke of a Khan who always gets wrecked
Yeah, the concept is similar to the last soft reboot. Mortal Kombat (2011) is not a continuation of the story line from Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but the previous game's events all happened. I like that since it doesn't invalidate what came before. It's a new timeline. Yes, he is a Fire God because of MK11. But that simply carried over into the reset because he was the one controlling the hourglass. It's not a continuation of MK11's story beyond Liu Kang being a Fire God. It's a full reset. Entering a fresh era. Hence the 1.
We saw the arrival of the "big bad" in the trailer: it was Shang Tsung. He goes on to kill Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Kitana, and Kung Lao. In this trailer at least, it was him coming through the "eclipse" portal. And he was wearing his "titan" clothes from his "Aftermath" ending...Arrival of the Big Bad would be my guess.
... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh ... I dunno ...We saw the arrival of the "big bad" in the trailer: it was Shang Tsung. He goes on to kill Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Kitana, and Kung Lao. They all looked like the same type of portal; the same kind he used in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. Scorpion and Sub-Zero see one, Kitana and Mileena see one, and then Liu Kang decends to Kung Lao and Raiden as one appears near them, with Shang stepping through.... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh ... I dunno ...
Why would Edenia see a portal in Earthrealm?
Also, the eclipse that Scorp/Subz/Mileena/Kitana are looking at is huge, and is at the sky.
Shang's portal is small, and on the ground.
