We won, and it genuinely made me a bit emotional. I can’t figure out why Mileena is such a big deal for LGBTQ+ folks such as myself, something about being an outcast maybe, but seeing her in that ending was super wholesome.

God it's just a matter of time. We were catching shit for just THEORIZING that Rain could be bi. But you've got people up and down the place talking about how intros and outros aren't canon and shit like that. I'm sure they'll just say "Mileena's not LGBT because endings aren't canon DUH." Despite this being implied in 2 games in a row now.

Mileena's been my favorite since Deception. And knowing that she's officially LGBT (I'm hoping Stephanie or one of the writers acknowledge it as such just to solidify it.) just hits so hard for me too. Like, so many endings are just "MUAHAHAHA I killed that bald hoe and now I rule EVERYTHING." But Mileena's like "I killed my sister cause she wouldn't accept me and just wanted to kill me, got with my girl Tanya and we have a baby who loves and accepts me and thinks I'm perfect despite my flaws." LIKE FUCK ME that's probably one of the best endings holy shit I love this character so much.

They always try to find excuses to invalidate a character’s sexuality to fit to their perspective. I have to admit some LGBT people also do this, which is just annoying. Like respect the sexuality, period. Characters who’s sexuality have never been confirmed or talked about could be speculated about. Like Rain might be bi, noob and sub could be gay, scorpion also could be bi and have an affection for sub.

Mileena’s ending showed more depth than most character’s storyline and involvement in the story. cough Kollector cough.

Mileena's always been one of MK's most tragic characters, so to see her get an ending like this really does the heart good.

I mean, jeez, just think of all the fan art of Mileena, Tanya, and baby 'Leena on some Full House-type shit. It's gonna be adorable as hell and I'm ready.

Also, can we take a second to appreciate just how metal it is to use a dead body as a damn baby mobile? That's a source of food and entertainment wrapped in one. Mileena's an efficient mother, clearly.

I just can't stand the idea of "Straight until proven otherwise." And people refuse to believe otherwise. Like that was literally something someone said in the Rain thread lmao. They said all Trilogy characters are straight, but then here's Mileena canon like:

They actually aren't though, though they may contain canon elements.

Interestingly, with the de-canonization of the comics, this means Mileena and Reiko may never have been a thing.

Since this is supposed to be past Mileena as well, maybe she simply developed differently and preferred same-sex with how history is unfolding for her now. Or maybe she's bi and has been all along. Or maybe this isn't canon and everything will change next game. Or maybe this is canon now, but will be decanonized later.

^This, and it goes for all walks of people through all walks of life through all preferences and beliefs. I find, especially on the internet, people seem so intense to trying to justify their perspective as if multiple options aren't reality.

For me, I'm straight, and I have no issue with Mileena being gay, bi, or straight, I simply love the character. Until it's actually shown in Story Mode though, I simply won't consider it canon since it isn't, but it's 100% a possibility.

Update: I'm actually more interested who the father of her child in this Arcade ending is, since obviously her and Tanya couldn't conceive together.

Yo wouldn't it be lit if it's a clone mixed with she and Tanya's DNA. MK12 we get Milanya the daughter of Mileena and Tanya and she has lips cause she's less Tarkatan than Mileena so Mileena fans can kinda get Mileena with the lips AND Tanya mixed into one. Everyone's happy.

That would be very interesting indeed.

Another aspect of this ending that I really like is it show's a big motivation is that she just wants to be accepted, and it's something she struggles with. That character aspect, and development, was one of this big things I liked about her character in the now de-canonized comics, so I'm happy to see that personality element survive.

I love when characters have that kind of depth of character. I usually sympathize with the bad guys, but knowing that Mileena really just wants to be accepted is just...beautiful.

I also like the idea that Mileena is portrayed as the villain, she just wants to be accepted by Kitana.

Kitana is the portrayed as the hero, but refuses to accept her sister.

It really blurs the lines between good and evil. Mileena does these evil things because of her sister's cruelty towards her. Despite Mileena being a product of Shang Tsung's evil. She's not inheritly evil herself. We know Tarkatan's aren't inheritly evil because Baraka's super fckn civilized in MK11's story. She's bad because she's not being accepted so she's lashing out.

That's another reason why I think the LGBT community gravitate towards her so much. Because even though these seeds were planted in MKX and the MKX comics, now it's really starting to bloom. Mileena, an outcast, wanting nothing more than to be accepted by her sister, her family, is shamed and attacked. So she fights back until she gets the happiness and acceptance she wants, from the people who care about her. Tanya and her daughter.

Fuck this character is so good. I'm gonna start wearing a shirt that says "Ask me about my Mileena agenda." because I could talk about this bitch for hours.
