Apparently his dad passed. Just sent condolences.. I can't imagine it.

I also feel like we really need to address minority health in this country.. Watching Scar, Rewind, and Rye all lose their fathers within a short few years is just unbelievably heartbreaking.

We had over 5500 confirmed cases in a SINGLE day just the other day. It's beginning to snowball more and more. Just a week or so ago, we were averaging around 2-3k~ cases a day and now we're gonna likely breach 6k+ a day.

Yeah we (as a country) just set a new record for new cases in one day. Worldometer says we had 38,000 new cases yesterday, other news sites say 36,000. We added a third of your country's TOTAL cases in one single day.

That's just... insane...

Here in my Region (which is kind of like a County), we're now only averaging a few new cases a day. There were six reported yesterday. The day before, one!

My province(like a State) has moved on to the second stage of it's economic recovery plan in all but two towns. Everywhere now, dentists, other medical services, hair salons, restaurant patios, and many other businesses have been permitted to re-open, though they must comply with government recommendations and social distancing. Restaurant dining rooms are also still closed, patios, take-out, and delivery only.

My team has been busy restructuring our office set up to space for social distancing and to comply with the government. People are going to start trickling back soon, but the company will not force anyone to return this summer. I'm still working from home myself, they have yet to recall me (which surprised me).

Again, hearts out to all of you south of the border. Please look after yourselves!

I don't know how it is in other states, but at least here in Virginia most businesses and stores have signs out front saying face masks are required to enter, yet when I walk in I'm pretty much the only one wearing a damn mask. Even the employees aren't wearing them properly, if it all. Dangling down from one ear, pulled clear down under their chin like an Abe Lincoln beard, etc. No one cares. It's driving me insane.

That's crazy!!! :eek: I contemplated trying to move to Canada in late 2016/early 2017, for obvious reasons. I really wish I would have actually tried to do it.

My coworker sent me that earlier this morning. It's funny how she's the one saying THEY'RE the insane ones and need to be locked up. Woman is batshit crazy!

Yeah, I'm surprised at how well we're doing myself! The Province as a whole is averaging roughly 175 new cases a day now. We're almost always under 200 cases a day at the moment, and it's been that way for a week-ish with a few exceptions.

Many people here are playing ball with the masks, distancing, and of course, the Province was locked down for a long while (about two months until the first phase of re-opening was permitted).

If you ever do move to the Greater Toronto Area, let me know, it'd be great to meet you!

Here, they continually push to increase testing. Testing here is all done by province or territory as I mentioned much earlier in this thread. My province, the second hardest hit province in the country, has continually opened up additional testing sites.
