I could actually see that happening, kinda like how they mixed Alien and Baraka in MKX. Robocop doesn't exactly have a ton of iconic moves so maybe they could give him some of Stryker's. I also remember John Cena randomly posting something about Stryker on his Instagram, so while I find it unlikely maybe NRS will pull a Ronda Rousey 2.0 and Cena to play him, lol. Styker, Robocop, John Cena hybrid.

Yeah, there's a few iconic scenes but my point is how would they make three variations for him? Especially since you know they would save the "Your move, creep" for intro dialogue and the nut shot for a Fatal Blow or something.

It's sort of the same situation that Terminator was in, there just isn't a lot of moves so they kinda had to make stuff up for his moveset.

While I'm not a fan of guest characters myself and prefer franchise characters, Mortal Kombat (2011) had two (one of which was in the base roster), Mortal Kombat XL doubled that with four, and Mortal Kombat 11 currently has three with the potentially two more coming. I wouldn't exactly call it a guest-fest.

It's gone from 2 (if you played PS3) to 4 to potentially 5 and most likely 6 to keep the number even.

It shouldn't escape your attention that the number gets bigger with each game.

Exactly my sentiments. More often than not DLC is just a pain in the ass, all hype low reward stuff. I should have learned this a long time ago but I still tend to fall for the hype. I've been waiting for Spawn since the MKX days. He never came for X. Rumor said he would be included in Injustice 2 because of the comic related stuff. Rumor also teased Red Hood who's another favorite of mine. So I went for Ultimate Edition just to be disappointed in the end. Red Hood's gameplay just didn't click with me and Spawn was not included once again.

And then NRS did the surprise reveal for MK11 with a shorter waiting period, the Spawn teases and I jumped into it blind once again buying the Kombat Pack right away. Then it turned out that NRS decided to go in a slower pace putting out DLC every two months. Then they teased Spawn +2 guest and Spawn ended up being the last, almost a year after the original launch. And the day for Spawn came and went and his playstyle doesn't really click with me. It's not NRS' fault of course, it's on me. But I finally learned my lesson. There was only one character I wanted from this DLC roster and even that one is not fun to play. This pack was a big, fat 0 out of 6 for me and the Injustice 2 roster was about 2 out of 9. That being said and the fact that I could have bought KP1 for 50% off several times during the wait for Spawn, plus Ash was switched to Who the f*ck wanted another cross game cameo after Raide and Sub-Zero? Joker, I'll be wiser this time. The only time DLC did me any good was during the MKX days. I was in a bad characer crisis and couldn't find a main in the base roster but Tremor changed everything. Smoke became a good secondary so that's the only case Ican say the DLC was worth it.

I like to see more and more leaked stuff confirming Ash in the next DLCs.

I don't care anymore about guest or non-guest characters. I just want well-designed characters. KP1 was really meh and I expect NRS to step up their game for KP2, especially for an overpriced season pass. It felt rushed, it seems that they asked the devs to do the least to quickly focus on something "more important".

So yeah I'm really really happy to see Ash, I'm also glad that Sheeva is back and now Robocop is now a serious option so I'm hyped now, but none of this really matters if the devs are told to produce the same lazy content that they've done with KP1. KP1 was overpriced and the content they delivred wasn't worth the €40 I spent on it.

So I won't buy the KP2 until a good discount, because I no longer trust NRS to deliver good content, and it's a shame because I used to think they had some pretty solid DLC content with their previous games (especially MKXL/Injustice 2). Unless they prove that they're willing to either deliver content that would justify the price in both quality and quantity, or just lower the price of the next Kombat Pack, but we all know that it won't happen.

Something like that is really the only way I'd accept Stryker being in. He may be the original guy with a gun, but with several other gun toting characters already in, he'd probably be even less unique now.
