Honestly I get strong Kollector vibes from Sindel on a lot of things, gameplay wise. So good for me, maybe bad for everyone else cause nobody respects kollector

I dont think so but she has a move like Kitana's fan float that she can cancel air moves with.

Guessing quan chi made it look like a suicide by working for the same people who killed Epstein lol, but on a serious note he probably used his magic to mind control her killing herself via his trance move.

Sindel looks fun I’ll be using her third variation for sure.

tbh everyone used weapons in Deception

Even before, mk 4 was the first mk game where everyone used weapons you could pull them out and throw them, pick them up and use your opponents weapons too if you wanted once you knocked it out of their hands or if they threw it and you blocked it.

Her hair's attachment point at the neck, and hair animations in everything but the command grab and combo ender moves really are an eyesore... I wish they'd ironed those out more.

SO, even though the retcon isn't what a majority like you have to give Sindel some credit...She told a lie, put on a facade for centuries that she was forced into marriage and used brainwashing as the reason she acted evil, but when she was actually murdered her people thought that she had broken free of the brainwashing and committed suicide for the better of Edenia.

When in reality Sindel thought Jerrod's rule would fail and they would lose their empire in the long run so she murdered the king to keep her privileged position, married Shao Khan and became a tyrannical empress, all while her loyal people and daughter, Kitana thought she was brainwashed. However, that's just who she was the entire time, an evil Queen.

I think they just wanted to do this retcon because it's something they've always wanted for her. In the kombat kast Stephanie said Sindel has always dressed evil, witchy, and sorceress like and they really wanted to give her a bio that went along with that this game. Plus playing around with multiple universes and timelines why not have the MK11 Sindel be chaotic evil as cannon, it's not like anything matters anymore with the entire restart of the MK Universe happening for the next game. A completely clean slate to do whatever they want with the franchise.

But I also understand what an undertaking it is to make the graphical realistic, and then have hair be a weapon like that. It works for Millia in Guilty Gear Xrd, because the style makes it easy. GGXrd's anime style doesn't show every strand of hair on their head, it's plain and simple shapes with flat colours. While in MK11, you see all the flaws because of the massive texture-work they need to do.

They could maybe have made it look better if they had more time put into it, but alas, it is what it is. Something the team can work on for the next game Sindel will be in. They continue to improve, and this is indeed better than MK9 and MKX, but there is still room for more improvement,

Nobody questioned her loyalty to Edenia, she was renowned as a beloved ruler who tried to do what was best for Kitana and the realm. She had everyone fooled even in death. that's a damn good facade to me.

A facade is something you work for to keep up appearances. But because she died, she didn't really need to do that for all those centuries. She told a lie, people believed it, and then she died. And for some reason, Shao Kahn didn't tell the truth. He even thought Sindel indeed did commit suicide to protect Earthrealm from him... if she truly loved him and chose to be at his side, if she truly was the one responsible for Jerrod's death, then why would Shao Kahn even believe for a second that Sindel would do something like that against him? If she truly was on his side from the beginning, why prevent him from taking Earthrealm?

No, I am fully convinced that this retcon is indeed that... a retcon. A change they made JUST for this game, because they wanted to try something else, maybe even just for the shock factor. Something Shawn Kittelsen seems to be fond of doing... changing the already established lore, just for the sake of it. Some things for the better, while other things for no good reason... and I find Sindel's retconned story being the latter.

Well I did already mention above that they changed her in this game because her moves, attire and attitude didn't fit the lore of UMK3 & deception. Stephanie even said her dark gothic looks didn't fit with this benevolent, kind-hearted queen she was shown to be in the 3d era. Honestly, that seems to be the lore that is out of place. In MK3 she was introduced as evil "her evil intent is every match for Shao Khan's tyranny" so it seems they are going back to her OG biography.

Sooooooo technically they fixed what someone else changed for her. She was always supposed to be an evil queen type.
