Thank you! Hm remember quan chi's d3 into overhead summon oh+low bat? Sonic basically uses the slow ball like that, at least that is what he was gushing over on stream lol

The last matches I had I did completely horrible with the parry, It felt like the oponent was expecting it and using all the attacks that would work (I did try to not be predictible with it, but perhaps I failed miserabily doing so)

What are your strategies to implement it?
Are you really sure that the parry in it's current state does more good than bad againts high level oponents?
I'm starting to doubt it
 
It still lets you recover more quickly after certain moves. What are they doing? Don't hold it for 5 seconds or they can easily land jump attacks on you. A d3 is still better than being combo punished.
Also, Skarlet - Blood Tentacle is no longer throw immune during some of its startup & active frames

So a good player would be able to predict when the blood tentacle comes and throw me right out of it. Dayum....time to change up strategies on whats a good string ender.

You could condition them to the tentacle and end with parry, I think BF2 would work too
People have been D1 poking my ass all day ending with BF2. It works 50/50 but once they catch on, then i go to tentacle but ill try throwing parry.

Watching to TX vs Florida Skarlet vs Sub and Skarlet did F43, LAST HIT GOT FLAWLESS BLOCKED UP2 but her parry afterward IMMEDIATELY CAUGHT IT! It was Godlike shit ive seen a Skarlet player do! So F43 xx parry is a great option.

No discussions about how Mr EddyWang's and SonicFox's opinions about her variations differ? I think she needs the parry, Sonic thinks her slow ball is broken op...
Dominic did gave a good share on what he thinks Blood Drive is insane, i don't disagree.
I just think Heart Pierce is better overall at any range
While i think Blood Drive is weaker up close

Overall she doesn't change drastically her universal moveset its what defines her the most, specially when you have combo enders that sends ppl flying towards your favorable position to play.

I'm starting to doubt it
If your opponent its predicting your parries and using lows or jumps that's because you are holding them, the parry animation and the block animation are somewhat similar, you need to take a good look at it before pressing any buttons.

Try short hops intead of parry, or if you have a feel they're trying to bait it, parry anyways but do not hold it, just do a regular parry without holding and then move away or jump in, if they try to counter it they are going to kill themselves.
 
She really needs to have her frames adjusted. -13 on b1, f2, b2, f4 should he -4 etc. You can only do so many bf1s and db4s until people adapt. I really cannot get into this game, it feels so clunky and stiff and delayed, add the frame datas and block stuns and you would not think that this is a 2019 game.

Do people think Red Mist would be viable (even though it replaces tentacle)?

I have been playing around offline with a custom variation equipped with: Red Mist, Bloodport, and CS. It's pretty interesting to try and rush people down with Skarlet.

I REALLY wish NRS would let custom variations ride online. I really think they are missing the boat on that.

I actually tried that move in the beta and honestly, its pretty good. I dont think its good enough to take away blood tentacle but it does change the way she plays. Her gameplan would be to get your opponent to the corner and blood mist that ass with staggers n throws.

I agree that it would generally not be worth it to take tentacle away. But, it's definitely a fun move to play around with and I just wish we had the option to use it in competitive online play.

I've gone full circle and think the 2nd variation is better.
The 1st variation has the parry/teleport but the 2nd variation lets you hold your ground better with slow ball which is better to me than needing to teleport or parry out of situations

TRUST! I've been wanting Custom variations tournament legal since day 1.
Same. My feeling is that, once they made the decision to both A) heavily market custom variations and B) Let them be used without restriction in the Beta, they had an obligation to let me ride, at the very least, for online competitive play.

If you want to have predefined restrictions for tournaments that people pay money to travel to, I totally get that. But I really don't see why you would choose to restrict the vast majority of MK11 owners from using the most unique feature of your brand new fighting game, especially after marketing said feature so heavily.

I sincerely believe that the decision NRS made was short-sided and detrimental to the long term viability of the game. MK11 would be SO much more interesting two years from now, if custom variations were allowed to live in online competitive play.

I will never give up Blood Tentacle for anything.

Also, far teleport is great to frustrate your opponent. Walked yourself into the corner? Teleport outta that bitch and far away from your opponent for one defensive bar and play lame.

Obviously this is a YMMV situation.

I just thought about this change. I think her 2 in 124 string should be an overhead attack.

She doesn't need it to be an overhead in my opinion. She's fine the way she is.
