Combo Breaker 2019 Top 8 Set!

Mortal Kombat 11 at Combo Breaker has proven to be an excellent showcase in gameplay with perhaps the most diverse competition we've had so early on in an NRS title with representatives from all over the world including Australia, The Netherlands, Canada, and many more! Scarlet mains SHOOK right now that Blood Drive's gameplan is more high level than the other variation.

when will people learn that tier lists are just BS (particularly so early) and at best a loose guide.. it is ALWAYS the player.
For the record I never said Scarlet was bad, just that I wasnt sure the pick would save him down that many games

I know people are shook just as much as I am but there's always that extra mind game that it was the player vs player, not really just Skarlet. You can tell that Semiij was just in distraught after noticing that he chose a character that he's not very familiar with. The fact that they were in such a high pressure environment being in losers meant Semiij had to figure out the gameplan and you can tell that he was almost scared to do his usual setplays because Skarlet's range is so underrated and the fact that he kept healing meant a lot of Kitana's already mediocre damage was almost futile.

Insane mindgames for a month 1 game tournament and I LOVE it.

That's what I was saying on the "what makes SonicFox so good" thread. Look at how differently the two of them performed under pressure. That was absolutely Semij's set to lose, but unlike most players, Sonic just doensn't break.
It's one of the most iconic sonic points of strengths, He actually performs better when under immense pressure or on the brink of losing. Some would say they felt like they were playing against a different player entirely. What a guy.

Some people can do extremely well under pressure, and Sonic's one of them. Pair that with his knowledge of the game and that why he's as good as he is.

Almost like the gaming version of Cage's glow, it kicks in when he's in danger.
