For a game that wants to be neutral focus, why the fuck do the top characters have moves that completely ignore any semblance of this aspect?

And I know every fighting game technically has footsies and this game wants to lean heavy into the whiff punishing but it never flows as well when you have to hold a block button.

It's been almost a month since the game came out and I'm STILL getting disconnected from ranked matches randomly after only a few minutes. I've done lots of searching and I've encountered lots of others who are experiencing the same server connection problems, whether it is while playing the towers of time or in online matches. Do they know about this problem at NRS and are they planning on addressing this issue soon? Can't even enjoy the game. @colt @tylerlansdown Idk who else to @. Feel like this issue has fallen on deaf ears.

ok sooo what the hell with the krypt? nrs is like a strict mom rationing 1 chocolate bar for a month. i have a zillion tower cosumables and forge items lmao which i dont need at all. but a skin or gear peace for your character, just you wait son... once in month maybe. thats how it feels - especially at later stages

I feel this big time. I genuinely feel like I don't have time to react to shit in this game... maybe the block button is part to blame for that. Versus if I could hold back, then release into my string maybe. I come from other fighting games like KOF, MVC2, SF, I can not punish the most BASIC of stuff in this game. Struggle so hard to get the most basic punishers out. The white flag is just around the corner for me! Back to Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

Jumpkicks are way too strong. They are plus, guarantee follow ups, beat rolls, beat wakeup u3's and many u2's, have priority, crazy hitboxes..

D1 into launching specials should be an offence punishable by removal from the gene pool.

Cetrion's d2 is the worst in the history of fighting games
 
feels like cross ups got worst but some characters have jumping command normals like geras. also jump in buttons are worse on block
 
As someone said in these forums a couple of months back, the game would be boring to watch (playing it hasn't turned out much better, incidentally) -- something that Combo Breaker, as well as all MK11 sub-tournaments have borne out so far.

Band-Aid fixes:
  • allow three-slot customisation in tournament play
  • prohibit "counter-picking" during sets (outside of char. load-outs)
  • remove all customisation restrictions (besides "conflicts") for casual modes
  • provide un-stylised FB option (plays out at full speed and without cinematic effects)
  • provide "alternate input" scheme (e.g., 236236) for FB's and reduce the damage output on regular/Wiisy (LT+RT) FB's by 20% (...and remove the embedded QTE system from the latter configuration too)
  • reduce the damage of KB's that have Wiisy or unconscious prerequisites (Error's forward-4; Baraka's forward-4,4; down-2's)
  • remove idiotic and unsightly "LT+RT" Alzhemier's reminder below the char. health bars
  • remove meter cost for successful universal OTG attack use (drains only on wiff / block)
  • reduce Perfect Block window to ~5 frames, and increase frame advantage to ~10 frames (so it has an actual, viable application)
  • increase throw-tech frame window and remove its directional input requirements
  • reduce some chars.' throw damage (big boys 140, smaller ones 120)
  • allow throwing of opponents who are in a juggled state
  • make throw-normals unblockable, but, tech-able
  • slow meter regen down by 50% on unsuccessful special move amplification attempts (i.e., those moves that don't hit the opponent proper)
  • add more amplify option to the many inexplicably specials that lack them
...And then you may make the game remotely worth watching / playing past Evo 2019.

A neutral based nrs game. Where the pokes are weaponized moves with zero hurtbox.

Could someone please start a petition to have foward wake up roll cost 2 defensive bars. The move is too strong to only cost 1 bar. It really does destroy the mk meta beacuse its used so frequently(because its only one bar) and its a game changer. Maybe if we get enough signatures nrs will change it to two bars.

Naw, lab it bro. I used to hate all the defensive options but they are at your mercy. If you think they will roll then grab, or even better practice some tech for the roll. Like with Jax if I just do a f2 and then d1, the f2 is a perfect meaty and the d1 beats them tryna roll and press buttons. Grabbing to me is the best option though, you got this.

I 'M NOT HAVING TROUBLE DEALING WITH IT. I just think it should cost more resources for how great it is. You can literally roll behind someone who commits to attacking you and you can do fatal blow,kounter hit, launcher,etc. Thats not good game balance to have it only cost one bar.

There really needs to be SOMETHING telling people to USE CONSUMABLES during the group towers. At this point, I think we need like a big FLASHING animation and take away the full screen option unless you're actively fighting.

If u2s are for jump ins, I can barely get them to hit. When someone is crossing me over or neutral jumping and it activates it seems like it just phases through them.
 
The only skin I want in this game is Skarlets Kold war skin. But even though I bought the premium edition it's the only skin in the game I don't have access to.
I didn't even know the skin existed until ten minutes ago. Then I feverishly googled and binged only to have my hopes for a brighter (read: blood caked) future dashed upon the shoals of exclusive content.

The best damned skin in the whole damned game and it's forever out of reach.

Probably all my dislikes about the game comes from recent online stability problems and hitbox issues. I wish the game were consistent on its universal mechanics. Wakeups and flawless block reversals are the best example. Some characters wakeup U3 can anti air, some cahracters U2 are not anti airing basically anything and are easily stuffed by jumpins. Some characters can U2 flawless block reversal basically any gap, the other U2 cannot reach so they cannot launch punish some crucial gaps. Some of those reversals are safe, some are unsafe and I can't really discover the logic behind this.
The other thing that really grind my gears is when sometimes you duck a grab and D2 whiffs because grab recovery animations put some chars in crouching state.

I don't get it why some fatal blows does more damage than the others. But my biggest wish is that all of them were just straight death on block from basically anywhere on screen. The fact that some characters can just throw it and say fuck it and if they fail they will get it back makes neutral game absurd.

I don't really thing nuances of the game and game depth should came from making supposedly universal mechanics a hot mess. I think the game is really great but it's way less polished in those aspects than Injustice 2 on release. Don't get me wrong, Injustice 2 had a lot of hitboxes issues that survived until game's funreal, but in direct comparision MK11 seem a way more rushed and less polished.
 
I refuse to play this game until the lag is fixed. Why does ranked match me with 200 ping players on wifi? It's unplayable. It's a slideshow. it's bad enough every other person plays scorpio on liu, but it's that much worse when you're watching a claymation movie.
