Yeah its -3 so I use it to make my strings on block safe and/or catch people off guard without exposing myself. It also leaves you at a comfortable distance.

Useful after 111 or B24 on block.

Only downside is that first hit is high.

What is the trick to landing the b1,3 after the ex? Also why is my b2,4 not hitting. Is there a trick to this combo ? A dash cancel or something ?

It's a 1 frame quick link, you have to do it extremely quickly.

Yeah, just timing. That's 2 really tight links in one combo, and that's why I use the other variation. Otherwise, Yaas Queen is actually decent.
It's more noticeable on the 111 starter though, because of the range. It's a bit easier with F41.

For the B3 * B24 link, you can replace B3 with a S1 coupled with a slight forward dash. For the B13 link, no secret, just perfect timing. I use her arm as a visual indicator to know when to input the string. Basically when she's back to neutral.

I saw someone use B1,3 after amp low gunshots, anyone ever try it?

Also the string B2,4 + amp up glow kick is 100% safe on block, can't punish a gap, they can't do anything but take it like a champ.
So I experimented a bit on B13 in combos.

B24 * Low Gunshots AMP * JI3 * S1 * B24 * Nut Kick is 279 ( and minus the S1 = 272 VS Female Characters )
B24 * Low Gunshots AMP * B13 * B24 * Nut Kick is 273 And the timing is a bit strict. Although the 279 combo is also tricky.

F41 * Low Gunshots AMP * JI2 * B24 * Nut Kick is 261
F41
* Low Gunshots AMP * B13 * B24 * Nut Kick is 273

So, depending on your usual combos ( cause I know some people don't use the same ones I do ), the damage is worth it on the F41 and 111 starters. The issue is that the timing is extremly strict in general, but more so on Female Characters.

Edit : B24 starter combo is even impossible VS Female Characters, so you need to get rid of the 4 in B24, which lowers the damage to 261.

I'll try B13 + low gunshot * B13 * B2,4 + nut kick. Not sure if that'll work though.

Doesn't work, that is so weird, the game doesn't let you do two B13 in one combo, the 3 in the string never works :D

I'm having the worst time trying to cancel B24 into any specials. NRS inputs always give me trouble but this string in particular I have like a 5% success rate. Is the timing different? Any tips?

You have to do it really quickly. Do you have negative edge on or off?

I just can't get over how awful her fatal blow is. Also the frame data for the air version is wrong. It says it's 32 frames, same as her grounded fatal blow, but it definitely has way more start up.

The fact that she doesn't use weapons to extend her reach like some other characters is an handicap imo.

Maybe it's just me I don't know, but jeez, I always get hit by strings when trying to whiff punish because of that. I don't really have that issue with other characters, mainly Raiden's F1 and Frost B2.

She does suffer from T-rex hitbox.
 
The Digital Soldier combos in the OP don't look anything like the combos I've been seeing Cassie users do on stream. What are the current optimal ones?

There are many ways of doing her combos. And usually, optimal ones are tight on frames and don't lead to a restand, which, given the fact that Cassie got blessed with one, should be prioritized.
Also, some combos can be used to switch sides, which isn't optimal per say, but can give you an advantageous position.

I see. So there aren't any clearly optimal ones? The ones I usually see involve using a jump-in kick after MB low shots. What's the notation for those?

I'd say her BnB after 111 or F41 * Low Gunshots AMP is JI2 * B24 * Nut Kick.
And after B24 * Low Gunshots is JI3 * (S1 against Male Characters) * B24 * Nut Kick.

But you can do whatever after the JI2/3, some will do more, but won't end in a restand.

You can switch sides after Low Gunshots with a simple dash, and continue the combo without the JI.
