The Forge is part of the soul grind (You can forge 250 souls). As for the shrine I mean it all comes out in the wash right? Regardless of which one you go for at the moment it's going to take months worth of koins to even start to get close to attaining all of either. There's more gear than there are skins in the game though so if you're going for 100% completion of the game (I don't recommend it) you're going to have to do both eventually.

This is why the Krypt is online people. Because they don't want PC players to use third party software to give themselves unlimited currencies and just walk through it like a candy store.

I opened every door and puzzle known, got all soul and koin chests. Only have 11-12 heart chests lying arround since I am lacking hearts.

Statistics for the player profile say I opened 412 chests.

Since they said there are 600 chests in the crypt, where in'tarnation am I missing 200 more? I would have surely seen this kind of chunk of chests walking arround I think.

Kenshi blindfold reveals a bunch of chests. You run the risk of being jump scare attacked by spirits and the blindfold eats souls the longer you leave it on.

Also when I first got jumped by one I didn't think they added monsters yet, so yea I pretty much hit the ceiling . and yeah I know bout the souls lol
also I only saw that 1 spirit and the mkx blood monsters who don't do any scares

I think you need to replenish them with the Kronika symbol next to Shang's Throne in the Courtyard. It costs 2.000 koins to replenish one chest and 12000 koins to get the two augments for the character you don't care about

The 600 chest thing was bs. At best they meant there are ~600 different chests you need to open to get everything (including restock).

I opened everything beside whats behind the last treasure room door and i am missing 9 head chests. Still i am nowhere close to 600. I am at 469 (never restocked) and this includes like 10-12 Kronika vaults. Even adding the last room and the 9 headchests the total is still miles away from 600.

ive opened chests with around 2mil koins. got some skins.
then suddenly the skins stopped dropping
ive spent another 1mil coins, not a single skin is being recieved, all i get are recipies and tower items.
spent 500k to repelnish chests
went into the shang throne room with the 25k chests, only crap is coming out of those like 1x character painting or an augment. dont waste your coins on those chests !

but, if i open the 100 souls stuff ill get skins.

I am not saying they were straight out lying... but given the communities mood at that time they might have choosen words that work best to smooth things over. Saying "everybody gets the same 600 chests in the end" is better than saying "everybody gets the same 600 chests once you restocked enough" if the community is pissed at you due to the ingame grind.

Sure, its always possible we are missing something but i highly doubt it. We are missing over 100 chests, thats ~20% of the Krypt.

Yesterday I've finished opening every single starting chest (visible and hidden) and soul spire in the Krypt. I still miss a couple Shao Kahn chests but I can confirm that I still miss a good chunk of gear and costumes from the Krypt even of characters I already got the Kahn chest.

I replentished some chests to see what I got and it's mostly konsumables and auguments in pretty small quantities with the occasional gear/skin. Today I'm gonna start experimenting with the forge, haven't done anything with it but I found a list of almost every recipe on reddit so I'll do at least the gear recipes. Then I'll start with the Shrine to see what I get.

Honestly I liked the Krypt after all (thanks to the glitches, lol), but the randomness at this point is infuriating.

Yea, after opening everything you need to collect another ~40 cosmetics/character with restocking/forge/Kollector. At least it looks that way right now.

85% of the items I got in Shang Tsung's throne room were gear, skins, brutals and intros. I only got a couple in there that weren't those A-1 items so I think saying it's flat out rigged is a little bit less than candid/honest. The more skins you have unlocked the less likely you are to get skins because there is a set amount of skins in the Krypt. Others are in towers of time or AI Battle and so forth. It's basic math/deduction.

• no, after you open all the starting chests you still miss a chunk of stuff
• that, the forge, the shrine, Kronika balls (don't remember the name, lol) and restoking chests
• you put in three ingridients and some money and it gives you stuff. There's a single gear piece per character to be made plus various konsumables.
• you find recipes in the chests, or look for them on the net
• it restock all of the Krypt randomly, not just the courtyard and gives you both chests and souls spires.
• if I remember correctly they do, but I may be mistaken.

After opening every single starting chest (normal and hidden), all souls spires except one and about half of Shao Kahn chests I had 433 opened.

Now I'm still getting a lot of gear and skins just by restoking chests and spires. Still missing a couple of ingrediets for the Forge, plus it costs A LOT to create the gear items. The Shrine works as intended, 100000 coins garantee a skin, 75000 a gear item.

It wasn't because I'd exhausted the available gear, either. Because the next two 100k donations went back to giving skins.

Yeah i got an augment for the first time after donating 100k. I was hoping that was just someone putting the wrong amount of coins in, but it still seems like a low roll. What's irritating me right now is no matter if i go for gear or skins I seem to always get skarlet, kung lao, liu kang, kitana, and geras stuff lol
