Problem is, Pennywise would just not fit in imo. Outside of genuinely looking goofy as shit, I can't even really see moveset potential with him outside of biting and shapeshifting, which are already covered by characters in MK11 already with Baraka and Shang Tsung. Plus, if Joker is going to be in, is it really necessary for two clown-like characters?

Plus, Pennywise is more of a terror for children than adults, even in his titular films. It just wouldn't fit in Mortal Kombat to me.

I didn't say that a hero would HAVE to be Regime Superman. I just said they should go in a darker direction. Which can be an array of things.

Also, I didn't mean that the dark side wasn't highlighted in the comics, it definitely is.(As I more or less referenced in the first part of my initial post) The problem is, the comics aren't in the highlight of media, it's the movies, and they haven't really been dark. Also, they totally do delve into it a bit in some of the more recent movies, but for the most part they haven't explored it as much as DC has, which is kinda my point.

I was speaking for myself. I hate the Marvel vs Capcom IP because most of Capcom's IPs do not make artistic sense when put next to Marvel characters.

Good thing you're speaking for yourself then,because that's obviously bullshit. Because Capcom characters worked just fine standing next to Marvel characters just fine before.

It is a fact though. There's the TV shows like Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Cloak & Dagger and Luke Cage. They are clearly dark.

Wha? Why would two of the biggest horror icons of all time who've never been in a fighting game before have been a bad dlc choice? They were a dream come true for most of the population. Joker has already been there done that and been extremely unpopular.

Well yeah, the MCU is kinda what I was referring to.

The others are very dark, I agree, but they hardly got any spotlight unfortunately.

I'm basically saying it would be a nice way to highlight the dark themes and have it be in the spotlight for once.

Lobo would have been a ton more fun and fitting than Joker but I think you're all missing why Joker makes so much sense that it hurts.

He literally thrives and loves chaos and violence. While he's not exactly a fighter, he has shown himself capable of throwing some decent hands. Actually, fuck it. I'll cut to the part that matters.

He's fucking insane and we never got to see that really shown through the NRS games we've gotten.

MK Vs DC was close. He did some insane and violent stuff sometimes, but all censored.

Injustice 1 was a great rendition in story terms and appearance. The move set, TO ME , lacked but I was never fond of his particular type of play.

Injustice 2.... literally looked like a Leto cosplayer without tattoos. I can't even think of his move set because I was too disgusted by how he looked.

He has all the chances to be this knife tortuing, crowbar beating, killing people with humor, mass genocidal, crazy born to kill maniac we've deserved to see for awhile in this realm.

From things like being able to carve a smile into someone's face, to being able to spray toxic acid into someone's face and having it melt off. There are too many possibilities with this guy to be hating like that.

MK is not horror. MK is a fantasy/sci-fi. More importantly, it's a fighting game. Jason and Leatherface are not fighters; they are butchers. Jason and Leatherface doing dropkicks and sweeps will never not look fucking stupid. That's a few good reasons.

Just throwing this in here but today I noticed that Sektor and Cyrax both have icons for the Kombat Kard. The only other icons you can get are all for playable characters. Don’t know if it means much, but personally I feel this and the ‘you won’t be able to fight characters you can’t play as’ thing lean towards them being DLC.

Weirdly though, they do not have concept art for them in the Kollection at all. They’re missing under NPC’s. This got me thinking it was more evidence they’ll be DLC, as they then wouldn’t be an NPC, but Sheeva has concept art under NPC’s which goes against my logic if this datamine is still accurate.

All in all, fuck knows.
