What makes you think one couple of reveals is less likely than the other? I agree that Pennywise is more likely than Spawn but there's really no way to tell who the MK character's going to be.
I was just thinking of something right off the top of my head. Cause it's a NEW character, someone we haven't seen in the story trailers yet so it could be frost, cetrion, jax or noob.
Makes sense to me. 16 bit mentioned the toys and McFarlane is doing the toys so it makes sense. Announce spawn and then sell your spawn merchandise with the MK stuff.

On the far right we see a non-Revenant version of Kitana came through the portal along with Liu/Kung/Raiden/Jade. Although NRS deliberately never gives us a close up of her.
If NRS was dead set on giving her a tiny role that would justify keeping her off the launch roster, why draw more attention to her by bringing in a second Kitana from the past? It doesn't make any sense. Kitana fans can rest very easy.
Ermac on the other hand...
I pre-ordered after the leak. I'm going to be depressed if Mileena and my other characters don't make it in like cry in my pillow type of depressed but I will inevitably swallow antidepressants and suck it up and eventually buy KP1+2 no matter what cuz I'm not gonna be at a disadvantage not knowing those character matchups.
That spawn part is absolutely awesome.
Noone who is serious or competitive will skip DLC, those people will be at a serious disadvantage not knowing the matchups. I know I'm buying them cuz I want to get them in lab to find gaps and counter moves to thiers.
MKX showed Jason a month before release just like now. They have a deadline and will be giving us 2-4 reveals per stream now not counting C2E2 and other events. We will know the roster soon enough. Plus we got a leak and I think that changed plans.

It’s always been a pet hate for me when trailers for DLC content come out before the games even released. I feel like so should at least have a chance to play the game before they start trying to sell me new stuff. But I’ve just gotten used to that’s how it is now.
