Getting half a life bar using just b+2 and b+4 against mindless Skarlet's is already one of my favorite things of 2019.

Baraka is really strong atm, you can make a variation that has a safe low special and a command grab for some insane mixups. The gutted + spikes combos do crazy damage, and he also has a great projectile.

If it’s a flag planting then yes, it buff’s his ridiculous damage even further.

I like Baraka a lot. I’m definitely diving into him more. Agree with the f4 spartan kick lol, I won an entire round on that move alone.

I think the unique button presses for amplify still work because if I keep mashing the Baraka Hack and slash it keeps going without hitting the interact button. Having both would be the right way to go imo.

That’s what I’ve been sayingggg.

Sure a launcher is nice for punishment, but being able to constantly open people up with good conditioning and ticks is way more satifying and engaging.

And his mix is so good, all of those tools put the opponent at the perfect range.

Right now I feel like when I try and use him most of my high strings just whiff because the opponent crouches, but my mids/lows are too slow and I get blown up, especially by any Scorpion player who knows what they're doing. I'm probably not using any of his optimal buttons though.

I punished 122 on every TP. If they keep getting out cause its a High startup, I try to use B3 as the starter, but keep in mind its slower

That's actually just the input for chop chop now, you can loop it twice by mashing, but it doesn't amplify.

Honestly, I usually punish teleport with throw because being cornered against scorpion in this game as baraka is the worst experience, but you can punish amp teleport with whatever. 1,2,2 on punish will launch, f+4,4 krushing blow huge damage, b+3,1 xx whatever, or just take the d+2.

Scorpion's get away with regular teleports against me because somehow all of his limbs and blades are faster and longer than mine.

I kinda really don't like spines. Not worth losing chop chop over. You get a bit more damage in the corner for losing a lot more damage midscreen. In corner you can go whatever into gut stab move into launch, 1, 112 into chop chop or another back forward 4(which will crushing blow) and you get stupid damage either way.

That said gut stab move seems basically essential. Like, there's no point to baraka without it.

Like basic 112, gut stab EX, f4 chop chop is 34% midscreen, no fuss no muss. It also leaves you right infront of their face on wakeup for a back 3 or a throw.

Agree with you. Been using that as a custom one myself (really hope custom variations end up in ranked/tourny play, whatever about not having gutted be super salty if have to go kebabless haha)
Love the fact you can restand with the keg kebab into the chunky frame advantage

Ps. If any one confirms how to kb will blade charge or kebab pkease tag me (saw in old k&m vid said blade charge was just in a punish but doesn't seem to ge the case now

Any punishes to scorps twirl shit? He pushes you out of range for most punishes, and F4 doesnt punish it. Thoughts?

You can get a ji1 after the gut stab for more damage.
