Yeah I understand that. You stop their high with a d1... then what. Everything after that puts you at a disadvantage. Imo a d1 on hit should have enough hit stun to guarantee a string. Right now all it does is guarantee another d1. Every follow up can be stuffed with a d1 from the opponent.
Step back, let them whiff and give yourself some space.

How are you guys spending meter? Feeling like I'm always sitting on bars for some reason.
I wasn't lucky enough to get a code so I'm just spectating and speculating, but since she isn't reliant on meter for combos it seems like you might as well amplify any special move you land. Parry, blood shot, and cell siphon stand out most to me - all 3 of them heal, parry and siphon get a significant damage increase and i think cell siphon gets extra +frames from an amplify as well? (though i'm far from certain on that last part) Personally I'm looking to play her w/ cell siphon at all times so I see that being the biggest meter sink by far, at least for me.

Yeah, my meter is going towards siphon for the plus frames, although skarlet can't do much with + frames it feels like. f2 is maybe her best mid (f4??). Also if I have two bars I'm "amplifing" each bf2 that throw out just in case it hits.

Amplified bloodport to teleport out of the corner and far away is useful, but that's a defensive bar.

I got people to respect Raiden's d1 in Injustice 2 mostly by just spamming d1 and d1~shocker, you just need something to stop them from mashing. I think d1~blood tongue isn't the best option but it's there but the last few matches I've been using F2 after d1 with success. Hard to tell if people are just fucking up their poke but it feels like it works

Couldn't get a match on my main acc, then switched to my other one and I got one right away so that was weird. Not complaining tho.
Could this be a result of a kink on the matchmaking system or ranking system they implemented?

It's too laggy to poke...

You're right. F2 and F4 works. I looked up frame data and they beat a follow up d1 by opponent. Just feels so different than MKX. Thanks for the advice.

Hmmm if that's the case then f4,3x could be a decent follow up option. I worked all night but I'm gonna play around with this and see if I can make anything happen.

How do you get your opponent off of you if they're pressuring you? Like, what's she supposed to pressure with on block when the chance opens up?

I know you've only got frame data to go by, but I don't know if any of it changed in this version. Also, I don't see any ability that lets you dash cancel or cancel that special move. That or I'm misreading the description.

Just an impression but I think there is going to be more gaps in this game then we are used to, but you won't be able to abuse them with armor or backdash as much as you'll be forced to poke, fatal blow or flawless block out of it.

I was able to fatal blow a gap inbetween Scorpion's Mid-Low string IIRC

Since she has a good control with range, you will have to make up with her movement, so backdash, and walks are going to be your best friends to regain space.
If you are having some struggles with this, try experimenting with her parry since its a lot faster and will give you respect against those who over pressure you.
Be wary that it loses to jump attacks and lows, so they might change from D1 to D3 or D4

I don't know what caliber of opponents your facing, but I typically found that breakaways and MB-rolls were my best bets at getting out of pressure and then whiff punishing afterwards. And like what Eddy said, her parry is a pretty good way to get them to back off, especially if you amplify it to give yourself some health back.

I haven't experimented with her teleport though. It might be useful, but blowing both defensive bars to get some distance sounds like a hell of a gamble.

As for going on the offensive, if you manage to land a d1, it frame traps nicely into her f2 and f4. It looks like the opponent can just mash d1 out of anything else.

That's why she walks and dash so fast.
Her plus frames are more to bait buttons and it doesn't hurt to walk back a bit on plus frames, if they are always pressing buttons you start whiff punishing after a slight walk away or backdash.
When they start respecting by not pressing buttons, apply pressure or throw.

One game triggers the other.

That makes sense. I'll admit, this is my first time playing a fighting game that puts a heavy emphasis on spacing and footsies, so learning little things like that will definitely take some adapting on my end. Thanks for the advice!

Since i can't really play its up to you guys to get the most findings i'm counting on you. Give me everything you like or dislike about her and how you felt, if you can record matches will be even better.

Here is some things i wanted to try myself but you guys are going to have to do it for me for now, expecting feedbacks on these.

1. Walkspeed, evaluate how good it is, and if its faster than the other 2.
2. Dash forward, evaluate how fast it is, how far it travels and how early it recovers
a) Test by try to mash away forward, to get multiple dashes in. Dash under jumps if you read them, see how helpful it is
3. Do the same for backdashes
a) Use it to escape after you block d1s, see how helpful it goes.

4. Use standing 4 to anti-air, and standing 1, which one gets you the most results, try to convert short combos from both, see if you can.
5. She has a whip that covers the air can't remember the command but ends with a low, test the whip as AA.
6. Is her fatal blow a throw?
7. Don't jump over high projectiles, anticipate and use bloodtrail its supposed to high crush high projectiles

Will had more when i know more.

As far as AA whip goes (its f2 btw) it works effectively and f2,1 is the low ender. It only really works as a trip guard, the low will miss as an anti air.

Standing 4 only works as AA if they go for jump in punch. Jump in kick will beat it every time (from what I've attempted)

Bloodtrail does go under high projectiles if timed perfectly. Have not gotten a KB from it though.0

Will post updates as more knowledge is gained.

Side note: standing 3 is a straight whip with a good knockdown/knockback that could be effective as AA as well.

1. Walkspeed, evaluate how good it is, and if its faster than the other 2. Walk speed forward feels good. Backwards feels really slow.
2. Dash forward, evaluate how fast it is, how far it travels and how early it recovers
a) Test by try to mash away forward, to get multiple dashes in. Dash under jumps if you read them, see how helpful it is
3. Do the same for backdashes.
a) Use it to escape after you block d1s, see how helpful it goes. Dashes recover fast but they dont travel very far. Scorpion can chase it down with a D4.

4. Use standing 4 to anti-air, and standing 1, which one gets you the most results, try to convert short combos from both, see if you can. Standing 1 and 4 get beat by Scorpion and Baraka jump 3. D2 seems most effective.
5. She has a whip that covers the air can't remember the command but ends with a low, test the whip as AA. F2 does not anti-air. I was hoping it would but the hitbox is in front and not above. Stepping back and trip guarding with it works though.
6. Is her fatal blow a throw? No it can be blocked.
7. Don't jump over high projectiles, anticipate and use bloodtrail its supposed to high crush high projectiles This works

100+ matches in i feel like its strike/stagger/throw then get full screen... My game plan is wiff punish first, zone second and if i get a combo its to reset neutral to repeat
