The entire Injustice 2 roster was leaked like 4 months before the game came out, but it was a text leak.

Mortal Kombat X actually had leaked images of some characters like Jax and some story mode scenes and then a text leak, but I don't think all that happened until like less than a month before the game was out.

Interesting. Well for MKX at least, the leak didn't appear to hurt it's sales. I2 doesn't appear to have sold nearly as well as MKX, but we can't attribute that just to the leak.

I could see this. A player 1 and a player 2 version of that skin I guess? There was something similar for the shaders in Injustice 2. Two variations of each shader.

I'd prefer this. I think having about 6 skins would be reasonable as long as all the gear is very unique looking. And by the looks of it there are set amounts of gear. Which makes me so fucking happy. No inventory management.

The "Cetrion" name gives credibility to the gamefaqs user artjedi who also said Mileena, Shang Tsung and Shinnok are playable.

But even with them included, I really dislike this roster, I;ve been waiting since 2007 to play as Fujin or Havik or other 3D era charcaters and I get the same old-same old, with a blue elf and Poison Ivy as new characters, they brought back 1 from the 3D era and made her bald.

I think I'm gonna skip this game and be back when they don't have the MK9+MKX rosters anymore and actually use other characters.

I don't think the Injustice series will ever sell as much as MK, simply because MK is more iconic and is one of the major known fighting game series along with Street Fighter, Tekken, etc.

I remember a couple of weeks before launch even the story mode of MKX had been leaked. Shinnok as an unlockable was leaked too.

It says 6 skins. Are those 6 skins all completely unique or are there just 3 unique skins and then 3 different shaders for them?

I was confused with the reveal build in January because there were only like 3 unique skins while there were just a ton of color swaps.

There will be 6 “completely” different skins with 4 shaders each. But the 6 skins won’t all be wildly different in reality. Like, Baraja for example has two skins where the only difference is he has a shirt vs he’s topless.

Why? Every game they've increased the base roster. In every single game. I really don't see it being that much of a stretch. Because if it not then why say the dlc packs will include 6 charaters each not withholding charaters that can swap out one another like the Turtles or Triborg.

That's not the case.

I just pointed out what i saw as an overreaction based on the leak, specially when we didn't see how the characters on said leak will be playing this time around.

Just because a character wasn't interesting in the past, it does not mean, it cannot be in the future, it would be wise to at least wait till passing judgement.

That's why I specifically stated "these are my initial thoughts." As in, just my thoughts based on the limited information we have.

Hypothetically, I grant that it is logically possible that Jacqui and Cassie will blow my mind this time and I will indeed prefer the MK11 roster to the MK9 roster. However, I honestly prefer otherworldly (Sindel), monstrous (Sheeva), mystical (Nightwolf), cyborgs, etc characters to basic humans. So it's unlikely that I will prefer the MK11 roster, and I feel comfortable making that assertion now.

Because it's a 10 character jump from X. They increase, but not by over a third. It would be too much resources. Plus with at least 9 DLC that would give us 45 characters, this isn't Smash lol.

I still think 25 is the final roster count, plus 9 DLC, just like Injustice 2. I'm not buying Mileena being a secret character, but she could be DLC.

As long as we get one or two drastically different Skins per character, I'll be happy. Like, a young, an old, an off the wall skin would be cool. And, there could even be Alternative Timeline skins. Like, how cool would it be to have a Badass Future Cassie or a Cyborg Scorpion or whatever?

Base Roster is going to be 28. Mileena, Shinnok and Shang Tsung being unlockables are definitely possible. Then 6 DLC, 34. Where are y'all getting 45? Lmfao.

Even if they added 6 MORE DLC there'd just be 40. Injustice 2 had 38 characters in the end.

Either way Mileena's either in the base game or not in at all cause I don't think they'd make her DLC. I'd buy her 100% but I don't see it. Just like I don't see Reptile, Ermac etc being DLC.

Yeah, I believe the leak is legit. Cetrion and The Kollector turn out to be legit, turns out Jax is in the game after all, select screen in the leaked image implies there are 3 hidden characters and the leak said there was 3 hidden characters.

I think MK4 Noob used a Scythe. He could again, but Skarlet uses one so I think that lowers his chances.

I don't know if you have the same feeling as me, but I like how many people usually put Fujin, Shinnok and Quan Chi outside of the 3D era when they're from MK4. I think that's because they are too cool.
