Getting depression isn’t a choice, and a lot of times you either don’t know you’re actually depressed, or you don’t know why. But there’s ways out of depression, so if you’re ever feeling depressed just know it isn’t permanent.
On the flip side, sometimes people think they’re depressed when in reality they’re just sad. Sadness and depression are vasty different. Sadness is a natural emotion, depression is not. Depression is an illness that you need to seek help for. Problem is a lot of people who are depressed either don’t want people to know that they are, or have a very hard time seeking help. Depression isn’t something to be taken lightly, so don’t.
