Frost moveset in MK11

Here's to hoping.
I was surprised to see Frost being (arguably) konfirmed in the leaks. Not because I dislike her or anything, but because of Sub Zero's moveset in the game.

Before the reveal, there was some speculation that they tested new ice moves with Sub in IJ2 to potentially give some of those to Frost in MK11. A concept often mentioned was having Sub be more defensive and giving some quicker attacking moves to Frost. Now Sub inherited most of the IJ2 moves, doesn't have the clone, and does have some nimble ice attacks that could have been given to Frost. Assuming the leaks are real, how do you think they would seperate her playstyle from Sub's?

They could do less of a focus on her casting ice spells and more of "undiscplined" rush down/grappler style with her two ice daggers. Her frozen puddle and teleport could make a return as well since I dont believe Sub has either of these moves.

Definitely (pleasantly) surprised by possibility of her getting a spot on the roster.

I think she could take a lot of Sub-Zero's leftover moves like air freezes and stuff. I also think she could use some Injustice moves like Killer Frost's grab and Captain Cold's Ice Walls or trait. There's a lot of potential, I think.

Also, what are going to be her 3 customizable options? Daggers, mask, and...hair?

I actually like that. If I recall, Frost was powerful in MKDA, but had a tragic impulsive streak. A rushdown style could suit her well.

Good ideas. Regarding the grappler/daggers style, we also haven't seen Sub's grab from Cyromancer.

I'm not so sure about Cold's moves because he was a rather defensive charakter as well. Not sure if that would suit her.

Regarding customization, I would be dying laughing if it's her hair :D Not so likely, but I also don't have a better third one. Maybe just another item on her belt, similar to Skarlet's blood vessel?

Her hair being customizable would be fantastic! Lol. Especially if it's made of ice like in the 3D era. Another option could be the "leg bandana" that she had in her default costume. Whether its customizable or not I hope that accessory returns cause I've always liked it.

I find that very fitting as well. What I found weird was that that Sub has more of a rushdown style than he did in previous games as well.

That's why I originally lost all hope for her being in. Since she was shown being a MMA-ish fighter in the comic, I think it's be great if she had a lot of command grabs and wrestling moves mixed in. It's a long shot, but I think it would be cool. Female grapplers/wrestlers are always welcome, in my opinion.

Would be interesting to know Cassie's moveset. With Brawler, she had kind of a female grappler role in MKX. Seeing what she plays like could either make this style more or less likely for Frost.

Frost is an uninspired mess of a gimmick. I don't understand how she made it in over much more original and deserving characters. This shows a complete distance of reality from NRS. No one wants clone characters in a new game, this isn't gonna work anymore. Sub-Zero with breasts has very few moves that would help her.

Sub-Zero has his ground freeze in this game so there goes the one move she had going for her. A complete waste of a slot. I have no idea how she's gonna play considering Sub-Zero has a lot of offensive/nimble options.

I'll believe it when I see it. Having Subs and Frost is a complete and utter waste of a roster slot. Their power sets are so identical. I simply can't believe it has happened. Maybe they have, I mean on paper Green and Red Lanterns re the same... so it is possible.. but I still do not believe it. When she is announced, then I'll believe it.

That sounds good but...I heard NRS have trouble making hair.
So the options for her might be limited :(

What's the point of a random Krypt?
I understand people that don't like Frost, but I don't get the people complaining about having two character with ice powers. It is such a versatile power, look at Killer Frost or Captain Cold...they play nothing like Sub-Zero.

Plus, even if they do play the same I would still rather have Frost than both Sub-zero and Cyber Sub-Zero again for the third time in a row. They are literally the same character.

Just because two characters have the same powers does not mean that they cannot be unique fighters and should cancel each other out. Look at it this way: Scorpion and Tanya are both pyromancers, Kenshi and Ermac are both telekinetic, Shinnok and Quan Chi are both necromancers etc. So what's the problem with two cryomancers? All of the above characters have very different moves and playstyles and would never be considered as wasted spots over their counterparts.
Frost has not been updated since her debut in Deadly Alliance so you can fully expect that pretty much her entire moveset and playstyle will be drastically altered into something really unique and dare I say...."cool". So get excited.

Given the lack of Klone for Sub-Zero...colour me crazy, but perhaps Frost could have it as a base special move? It could work; she's a smaller frame than Sub, and with Klone as a base (rather than, say, Grandmaster-only) it could justify her having weaker frame data and a generally different core gameplay.

Of course, that's silly because Sub-Zero's new trap is basically Klone's replacement, making Frost returning with it doubly unlikely. But who knows?

Frost is necessary from a story standpoint. There needs to be a future for the Lin Kuei, Sub-zero's hot headed apprentice works just fine for that, and I don't think it's unreasonable to have a whole two ice users in the entire roster filled with fire users and miscellaneous energy blasts. While

Also, as for how she could play, I've always been partial to the idea that she could have a slide/command dash stance like MK9 Skarlet, combined with ice puddles that stay on the stage and can enhance the slide in some way or create some form of trap.
