A fighter in a fighting game just feels right to me.

I honestly can't care less about her being an actual fighter, I only care about her skills as a voice actor.

The way I see it is like this: the story mode I'll play once and it might have cringy moments with Rousey's voice acting, but I'm going to play versus mode a lot and it will have genuine fighter grunts, moans, scream, etc. Voice actors try to recreate what Ronda and other fighters aound like. We're getting the real deal

That's kinda my issue too. Why do the passing of the torch storyline if you're gonna bring back the parents regardless? I just hope she is an npc for the story mode and not playable. Cassie can replace her and Johnny for one game.

That's how I feel about a handful of the legacy characters. They could come back as DLC for those who really want them, but I had preferred they wouldn't be on the main roster, to make room for other fan favourites who weren't in MKX.

There is no "passing the torch storyline" though, it's just some assumption that people are making because several characters have children now, but having them don't make their parents/mentors irrelevant all of the sudden.

I think it's less about reaching out to the current NRS community, and instead about trying to reach a potential new audience in the MMA and WWE communities.

I don't think NRS are trying to 'wow' the MK community. I think they're trying to bring WWE/MMA fighting fans over. Why else would they invite so many WWE stars?
