Im hella down! Funny this thread was bumped cuz im just seeing some more drama in the Smash scene. M2K complained about a guy yelling for his friend who he was playing against and M2K got beat because of it. But i saw the video and it wasnt even that bad.

I mean, it happened to my first major at Evo last year when i facing somebody and his friends was loud as shit cheering him on. Except i didnt have headphone. I sucked it up, gave him a handshake, and learned to get good.

M2K should be used to this by now. And if hes complaining about a lil cheering, WHILE he had headphones in after winning many championships, then im sorry but you are hella soft!

Damn, I didn't hear about this. M2K did kinda get rocked, but I need to look up that video you're talking about, I haven't seen him puss out like that in a while.

Theres always some shit in that scene that makes them look worst i swear lol. Then the other day Mang0 posted that he got banned on Twitch for a week because he got too drunk on stream and passed out.....*sigh*

I'm down to clown on smash. I don't really know the competitive side of the game so I'm trash right now. Just got my Ethernet adapter last night, played for two hours and barely eeked out a few wins. Someone teach me? Gonna try Ike, MegaMan, Marth, Palutena and maybe one or two others for learning.

It's just for fun anyway, but if you're looking to figure out some of the more technical aspects or learning specific characters, I might be able to help depending on the character. From what you listed, I could probably have advice for Ike and Marth, but I don't know much about Megaman or Palutena tbh.

I’m est, but during the week I don’t get home until about 8:30 or 9, except for Fridays when I get off earlier. I still can that late, as I don’t usually go to bed until around midnight or 1 lately, but idk your schedule haha.

Did anybody watch Genesis 6 yesterday?

One of the biggest controversy was the crowd chanting "FUCK HBOX" while he was playing on stage. The Smash community seems to always find a way to make themselves look like immature kids. That was soooo fucking disrespectful watching.

I didn't, but I'm not surprised. While I wouldn't be shouting something that disrespectful myself, I do understand it. HBox is an ass, I've never liked the guy.

I've been seeing people say he's an ass and all BUT regardless...doing that to ANYBODY not only makes you look like a bigger ass, but now its on camera for the world to see how much of a bigger ass you are.

Thats what really makes me mad is the fact its over NOTHING! Some people on Twitter said they wanted to move from the section chanting that shit. And apparently they were drunk.

What bother's me about it, looking into different reasons why people dislike him online and not finding anything good or concrete. The most I've gotten is that he has been rude to people in the past or didn't interact with him in a way they wanted him to. Apparently he also plays in a "lame" way that goes against the "spirit" of Smash melee.

You don't have to like the guy, but behavior like that really pushes away corporate interest to get money flowing into the scene.

Justin Wong plays the same way in SF/Marvel series and i dont think he has ever gotten this amount of hate to this magnitude. I just wish the Smash Community would find a better way to prevent this because this has already happened TWICE and major tourneys.
