I get it. Ken was to be expected tho. As the others.....meh, but at least we get new characters at a total of frickin' 75!!!!

Its smart for Nintendo to announce greater characters for DLC because everybody who loves the franchise will buy.

I love that they said "hey, don't just buy the season pass now, we'll tell you what's coming but we actually don't work on DLC until after we make the damn game" so the plant isn't done yet either, comes out months after the game because we want people to like the game before we go for you wallets too hard.

Very cool, much better than most fighting game releases these days

We are less than 24 hours away from release but unlocking all those characters will take a LOOOOONG time! Uncle JBeezY found this video by the best Smash Bros 4 competitor, ZeRo, on how to unlock everybody the fastest way.

This game sounds awesome -- but with that many characters, my question is: is there any way it's balanced?

Joker from Persona 5 as first dlc

I've never played persona games but I know that's a big deal to people. Probably a very interesting character to play as well!

Its like any fighting where there always be somebody on top and the bottom. But Nintendo does balance out characters throughout the lifespan of the game.

I JUST got into the Persona series with part 5 so i screamed my head off when i saw this announcement! Nintendo is going ALL OUT! Never would have thought Joker even be a possibility and I'm here for it 100%!

Looking back into the Persona trailer, they explained at the Game Awards that each character will be BRAND NEW to the franchise that characters we did not expect.

The crazy idea of Sub Zero making it into smash....is not too far fetched as being a reality :)

Haven't tried online yet but from watching streamers it's not great.

Will have my first offline session with a friend tonight, really excited for it. So far in world of light and training mode it seems like the game plays fast and most characters are decent.

Anyone here getting into it?

Been putting in hours into WoL and MAAAAAAN that mode is fun as hell! Its stupid hard on some levels but i like it. It gives me more of an incentive to grind better spirits instead of having the game be stupid easy. But man these complaints from kids crying, "Nerf the CPU battles! They're too hard. WAH WAH WAAAAAAH!"

Ridley isn't very good lol. I still love him, though. Getting him to work successfully against anybody online is going to be the real challenge lol.

Been hearing mixed reviews but i kinda dig him. But im falling in LOVE with Snake all over again!

I haven't even touched online yet tho.

I think today will be my FIRST time :)

No, I haven't touched online either. I won't until I've unlocked everybody and had a little lab time with them all.

Don't get me wrong, I have fun with him. I love his design. It just sucks in practice lol.

And honestly, I'm falling in love with Snake all over again myself, he's too much fun and brings back a lot of memories. Roy is really good now too, and he's a lot of fun. Still haven't touched PKMN Trainer but damn, those switches are so fast, he looks phenomenal.

Been watching tournament plays and Pokemon trainer can get back up from the ledge and Down B to swich to avoid immediate attack. That shit is SICK!

Still need to unlock Pokemon, Pauletina, Gannondorf, Cloud, Ken and some other muthafuckas i cant remember on the top of my head now.

But the characters I enjoy the most are - King K Rool, Richter, Young Link, Pichu (yes Pichu is a fucking BEAST), Snake, and Ryu.

@Evil Canadian Your matches on stream had me DYING yesterday LOL

As a fellow King K main we needs to stick togetha! Your BnB mostly is grabbing and Down Throw the opponent into the ground position. At very low percentages, your safest bet is mashing the A combo. Thats a guaranteed 20% off the bat. BOOM!

In higher percentages, go for up smash and it should kill.

Im hella down! Funny this thread was bumped cuz im just seeing some more drama in the Smash scene. M2K complained about a guy yelling for his friend who he was playing against and M2K got beat because of it. But i saw the video and it wasnt even that bad.

I mean, it happened to my first major at Evo last year when i facing somebody and his friends was loud as shit cheering him on. Except i didnt have headphone. I sucked it up, gave him a handshake, and learned to get good.

M2K should be used to this by now. And if hes complaining about a lil cheering, WHILE he had headphones in after winning many championships, then im sorry but you are hella soft!
