I think people are *trying to kill the scene*. That's the only explanation I can think of for how we can go from talking about how hype of a tournament EVO was, and how amazing all the matches were, and the storylines, to someone saying the game is dead 3 weeks later.

All I know is that nearly every tournament has had amazing sets, a ton of nailbiters and close comebacks, and some highly memorable finishes -- I've almost never watched an INJ2 tournament and been bored (maybe in the brief Deadshot vs. Deadshot period, but that was it). Entrants are still good and newer players are rising to the top (like Rewind). So imo we should stop *trying* to kill it and just embrace our scene and have fun.

P.S. We should also stop making comparisons to Mortal Kombat. MK is a 20-year-old famous gaming franchise which many people played in their childhood. It will always have more entrants and a bit more attention, but that doesn't mean that Injustice isn't also doing well for what it is.

Why? That’s bullshit. Stream.me is just fine. Arguably WOTG helps the community stay involved between big tournaments.
as of right now the most viewed game on stream.me is CS:GO with 5 streams of 133 watchers, the next highest fortnite with 14 streams and only 16 watchers. Using this website wont even reach 1/1000th of the people going to twitch on a daily basis. its like saying going and streaming on Justin.tv for exposure is a good idea. There is only 2 reasons i can see streaming on this website. You either A) dislike twitches terms and policies so much that you purposely hinder your audience numbers or B) are directly sponsored by Stream.me themselves.

Patches are too infrequent. Lack of updates, lack of transparency. It's a crime to complain about the game on this site though. I'm super disappointed with it.

Also the balance at launch was garbage. I don't even understand how they thought it was ok.

The issue with the game can be shortened out as this match-up at 19:00 minutes. Enchantress... a supposed anti zoner still gets zoned anyway.
If You make a zoning game. Please put some real tools to punish said zoning. How come that the game will always reward spam?. Yes.. What that Starfire was doing was spam. Even with a player that punished her wake ups. The spam will win over footsies in the game.

Why can't Enchantress anti zoning tool work properly?. Why She has to get zoned to death by this one button (Trait) zoner get away with this crap?.

Same with the Turtles anti zoning tool. It's useless. The lack of real anti zoning defensive tools ruin the game forever.

None of the poll options are good. Injustice doesn't suck at all, yet the polarization between top tier and low tier is far too high to equate to a balanced game. Top tier isn't being addressed enough and especially low tier who have very little in the way of updates, I can't chose the option for "lack of updates". i feel there should be an option for NRS are dumb.

wrong, if you wanna see disparity between the tiers, go on back to mk9 and injustice 1 and get back to me, the gap between the top tier and the tiers below them is not that big in injustice 2.

those games were pretty much either Top 5 or go home.

It's true. But Nowadays there's far better games than NRS ones to invest your time in. Why bother dealing with the BS imbalance when there are more rewarding games to be played. Scrub mentality, but it happens, and bleeds on over to real players who put the work in and see thier characters fail due to lack of option.

letting the scrubs dictate how your game is balanced is how you end up with mk9 Kano, by the end of mk9's life cycle literally nothing that character had was real.

scrubs dictating it is a bad idea, but if longterm players feel the same way it's bad.
Note however what I sad "It's true. But Nowadays there's far better games than NRS ones to invest your time in"

Thats a matter of opinion really, a lot of people like nrs games, and they keep getting better with each new one they release.

if the super casual players can't handle the fact that there are characters in this game who actually have a long distance gameplan that works and can legitamately keep you out then the game is not for them.

We're not talking about the same thing rn

The answer is Tekken 7 and DBFZ, both great games which i enjoy a lot and both released a few months after Injustice. I can't play all of them at the same time.

this is what inj2 need imo

-a new version with at least one new mechanic
-new stages
-optional a dlc with igau legacy chars

that would be nice if they want us to play it for 1+ year
That looks pretty superficial, and all and all, people are not playing I2 due the lack of:

-a new version with at least one new mechanic
A) Game its not stale at all and shouldn't really feel stale

-new stages
B) There is enough stages at it is

-optional a dlc with igau legacy chars
C) New content is really good but point C its pretty much A+B with a bit of sauce in it.

Though for some people those things are actually enough, games built under this type of narrative don't tend to last as much if the company can't really hook you to the game, it doesn't matter the number of space it will take on your hard drive with a bunch of new content, the game will return to feel the same after a shortwhile.

One of the most successfull fighting game companies right now are Bandai Namco, and Arcsys for sure, SF5 started bad but it seemed they managed to catch up. Basically fighting game development has raised a bar, to how fighting games should present themselves to the world MVCI failed at that and its currently what it is.

NRS biggest challenge now will be to top what's already in the market, with every other fighting game being announced there, reason why i believe the Eyebrow man himself said "We're not ready to announce anything" and finally early this week he said "We're working hard to deliver our best game yet".

Playing this by templates which were set in 2010 or so are not going to do any good to NRS as a development team or the NRS scene as well, or we might end up just like MVCI if we're not close to it already.

So be careful when you say (people in general not directly towards to you) you want MK11 to be Mk9 2.0 with MKX features and I2 feactures, cosmetic gear and everything which was already been given, though for some this might be enough, i personally don't think this is what the next NRS game needs to succeed

DBFZ was worse it didn't stop people from playing it and not say it is dead. THE REAL PROBLEM IS THE COMMUNITY 100%. I think what we really need is more time with Inj2 so people who don't like the game but keeps complaining about it can drop the game and we can cull some people out of the scene. Like those who talk about zoning in Inj2 like they don't watch

HOW good was the enchantress, how good does he know the MU, what is the enchantress vs SF MU like. Don't expect to win a MU just because you pick an anti zoner, when you see characters like Robin Flash Atros etc do really well in tournaments IDK how you can think that zoning is a problem in the game. I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE ACT LIKE THEY KNOW THE META AND SPILL BS LIKE HERP DERP ZONING WHEN JUST WATCHING TOURNAMENTS SHOW YOU THAT THEY JUST DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME AND STILL CHOOSE TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION LIKE THEY DO AND COMPLAIN.

Then you're marginalizing damn near 80% of the people in the scene. People who still stick with the scene is because they love Mortal Kombat and its legacy. You can't force people to like the game solely to help others. Face it, its mostly Injustice, man. The passion is not there. At least this scene is smart enough to turn away from games they don't like. Why torture yourself?

This one benefits more the zoners than the anti zoners ironically. Because the zoner gains more meter than the one that is not zoning. also helps zoners to get out of the corner easily.
People that are good upclose usually hit like trucks I play Robin, I'm not even a good player but even I know that mb roll is a good mechanic that helps me get in on zoner and start my offense. You just can't use it in a stupid way and expect it to work

They don't stick with the SCENE that's my whole point. If you don't like the game don't play it, don't be negative to only be negative. IF YOU LOVE MK PLAY MKX don't shit on INJ2 and spew nonsense that are pretty much false. JUST GO AWAY
