I’m currently using Adult Gohan with baseku and ssj Vegeta and it works very nicely. You don’t have vanilla pressure anymore with Gohan but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it opens up the mind games. Also both Gohan and Vegeta can set things up where you can DHC into spirit ball for massively stupid damage (68% for Gohan and 72% for vergeta)

Have you tried a blue Vegeta / ssj Vegeta shell? Works super well with either a beam or baseku
Yeah they’re really good together. I know you’re not a fan but I still think you need Gotenks in that 3rd slot. His assist is a blugeta wet-dream.

Oh I know how good he is, I just don't click with gotenks so there's no point forcing it. Baseku does great for backing up rekkas with that high blockstun and supergeeta dhc into spirit ball is one of the most satisfying things to do in a match lol
I know... there’s a couple characters I feel the same way about. Bardock unfortunately, hes one of my favourite chars as I happened to own his special on vhs growing up. Such a good movie. Kid-Vegeta and Nappa-with-hair for dlc lol. But I Just don’t enjoy something about the way he feels to play. Also have an aversion to overly-played chars, and he’s just everywhere. Less so post-patch maybe? I’ll probably include him on a team when the times right.
Yeah idk why but me too in this game . For example in injustice or blazeblue cross tag I tech very often but in dbfz I just cant . A few times I did it was by accident when i was mashing lol or when it was very obvious. In theory in this game it should be easy cuz when someone do dragon rush it "flashes " so you should train yourself to tech when you see it but its not that easy .I've never been so bad at teching throws in a fighting game
In Mortal Kombat and Ki I had no problem teching throws. This game gives me that "I swear I teched that" feeling alot more often then any other game has.
Maybe you should focus on playing lower level / same level as you so that you can experiment and try shit and learn. High levels are going to maul you, it’s expected

Yeah I have the same thing with all my point characters for some reason (less so blugeta, but even still). Nappa in particular is always either mauling or being mauled. I think it’s because his ranged tools allow for little else. He’s designed to be up close (with saiba preferably), and then can’t get out and sucks on defence when his turns over. Hoping it’s changed with the patch quickening his armour, but we’ll see when I get around to it.
