I'm sick and tired of fighting meme teams of Goku and Vegeta. It's like I go through the motions like it's work. It's not even fun anymore to wipe them out with trolling lvl 3's. Well sometimes it's fun especially when they quit after wards.

I'm going to embrace my inner scumbagery and filthy "by any means necessary" win mentality and finally learn these assholes.


Or make Tekken my main game again.

Thought the same. @villainous monk we missing something? Gonna build a Broly yeam eventually, favourite movie villain alongside Janemba. Sick vidusls ftw.

Been playing Blugeta, Yamcha, Gotenks team all evening for the first time since the patch and been absolutely killing it. God damn I love this team when they get going. Blugeta can steamroll off a good read and/or punish.

Definitely still my strongest team for now.

Finally stopped labbing so much and spending my little time on exp instead. Got a couple months to grind before real life takes over for a while. Been mollywhopping oranges for a week now and finally hit pink.

Haven’t revisited team Nappa, Yamcha, ssVegeta properly yet, only tested that nothing was removed (besides saiba-projectile-lockdown ) which it didn’t appear to have been. Obviously buffs will have helped. Will revisit at some point, but for now:

I’ve not been doing quite as well with team3. Possibly just because it’s new, but I just don’t think Basegeta gives Nappa enough to justify the canonical-inclusion. So I’ve decided to drop Nappa From team3, allowing me to focus on what Basegeta needs. Which brings me to my point...

Who do you play with Basegeta, is there a character you think he needs? I think Yamcha, Gotenks will work, but I’d rather some variety from the aforementioned Blugeta team. I don’t mind having Yamcha again, as he’s just insane on support, and some consistency is nice. But I’m looking for a third that gels as well if not better than Gotenks. Hoping Base Goku works, I think I read that Yamcha can lvl1 into super spirit bomb, so there’s that. I’d like another lockdown assist if possible but Base Gokus didn’t strike me as lockdown oriented.

TLDR; Play Basegeta? Who with? Why them?

Other than triple goku, I’m using him with growhan and the supergeets. Worked well so far, I got someone to literally just give up right in front of me lmao

He doesn't get full punish anymore due to vanish breaking armor. Yeah that's Kool. Fine whatever. But his damage scaling and his normals still needs work.

Other than that he can vanish cancel far better now off of cmd grabs and sparkling.

Hardly mind-blowing buffs if you ask me.

Air 2H armor & 214s with either armor or the ability to convert meter like 18 would be nice but hey.[emoji848]

That shit was unfortunate if you got caught on wiff. Believe I know 1st hand since day 1 but your still in the same boat regardless now.

I ABSOLUTELY have too. Lucky my other fav DB characters are on my team and their buffs has helped his game plan but again. Too little too late since the meta has changed a bit to more fast and lose then wise and defense.

Which for the most part isn't in anime fighters anyways.

I use both gohans with them. Sometimes I’ll use teen Gohan with baseku and ssj goku (thanks for the idea Icefyre) and that shit is lol

Idk who to use right now. I wanna use both Base Vegeta and A.Gohan but they don’t vibe together well at all. I might just stick with A.Gohan, I still feel he’s a super stong character. I also wanna ditch SS Vegeta. SS Vegeta is still good but I need to find a team that all have good synergy. Kinda wanna wait for Cooler to see how he is before I solidify a team.

Hopefully there’s more DLC in the future.

Been using Trunks as lead, Begeta, and Goku Black.

Good synergy, and some fun combos and corner carry.

Just got my first perfect. I was so mad going in because a lag spike stole the previous game.

Pretty sure I caught them off guard by coming out swinging, as I’m normally more reserved and mobility/spacing heavy, I was seriously tilted tho... 5H to open the match lol, think I’d started defensively for 3 matches straight previous matches.

Blugeta melted all 3 lifebars back-to-back. Made a few mistakes, and got kinda lucky not to get punished for a couple of suspect buttons. but still got it done.

Eh I wouldn’t worry too much about squares, mine drops every time I build a new team. Which is weekly atm.

i mean, i need some people who know the ins and outs of the game, when to deflect, vanish, when not to etc, What characaters are most likely to do in X situation and how to counter it.

I’m also excited about A17 tbh, he was always cool, but in super he levelled up more unexpectedly than anyone.... him and Frieza as team forget-me-not was awesome. I’m always drawn to playing chars I like in the anime most (obvs), so I can see me giving him a go.

You know what? I forgot 17 was coming too. Not sure why he is the last of the “known” DLC characters though. Like, I would think Cooler or someone like Broly would be better fit to be last, but I guess it doesn’t really matter.

If you don’t want to rely on someone to walk you through it, a good way to learn a lot is to study top player matches. And look for the same questions you’re asking. When they deflect, vanish, etc. Make a collection of when it works and when it doesn’t as well. All of this could also be learned from your own experiences, but the netcode being atrocious it’s hard to get real practice and experience in.

like right now, i think the overall best team for frieza might be Frieza, Goku Black/ SSJ Goku, and SSj Vegeta, if anyone has any other suggestions that'd be great.

SSJVegeta fits Frieza really well. Cell actually plays his role well too iirc.

The third would probably be pressure assist of choice, but a beam specifically also compliments the zoning, so yeah black or ssjGoku make sense. I think ssj can also corner-dhc-continuation with Frieza. Not sure if there’s some black specific tech that outweighs that.

SSJ vegeta can do the DHC in the corner so it doesnt really matter. the other team i've been using is Frieza Yamcha Black, yamcha assist is pretty useful.
