No, it's not that. Sonic used a very old rule that allows him to switch places with his opponents if he wins a coin flip, and he did that to make GO1 to get cooled down and lose focus from the game while Sonic could have use that time to collect himself. It was one a next level mind game from Sonic. Check Jynks' post earlier in this thread.Sonic won DBFZ but whats up with the delay after GO1 put him in losers?
Is the player 1 side that special?
Sonic practice on player 1 side and dont know how to start off on player 2 side?
It's the equivalent of a team calling a 2 min time out in the NFL. It was legal.Sonic won DBFZ but whats up with the delay after GO1 put him in losers?

Quit your dickridingIf he cared about Injustice he would have won, he dedicated himself to a game and won that game.
As far as the Starfire mirror, you better hope he does not care about that pop off, cause if he learns that character he will come back an embarrass you with her.
Quit your dickridinglol Now that’s funny. It’s takes everyone a year to catch up to fox and he still takes third and wins a game with 2600 entries.
What did Injustice have 350? And the former evo champ didn’t even show. No disrespect to any player out there but a committed fox would wipe up that Starfire.
If you want to compare tweedy to fox , look at the stats, nuff said.
That, but the TOs didn't know what to do and they didn't have a translator for GO1 ready. People wanna blame Sonic for that, but it could have just been a typical 2 minute break if the EVO TOs were readyNo, it's not that. You’re allowed, technically, to switch sides every match if you lose. Since the bracket was reset, SF didn’t have the “rights” to switch sides. So he asked GO1 but GO1 also wanted P1 side. So as per the rules, they had to flip a coin for it, in which SF won. He didn’t at all intend for it to “ice” GO1, how could he have possibly known it would have taken almost 10 minutes? It taking so long was not at all SF’s fault. It was a combo of having to translate and confirming the rules and also having to translate those rules to GO1.No, it's not that. But, SF admitted that it probably did ice him, but again, that’s not why he did it (his words). That he plays more comfortably on P1 side, as do most people. Based on the rules that I saw, GO1 could have asked for P1 side after he lost the first match of the reset, but maybe he didn’t know that he could. Or maybe he did know but didn’t want to waste more time, who knows.
Personal preference, I'd imagine. For what reasons? Who knows? Why is p1 side important in dbz?
Everyone has their preferred side for iafbs n shit but surely at pro level that's no biggie?
He didn't win last year... And hasn't won every tournament ever.If he cared about Injustice he would have won, he dedicated himself to a game and won that game.
I would think at pro level it's more of a thing. I'll play maybe 6-8 hours a week at most in a game, some of these dudes are playing 6-8 hours a day. So if you are running that whole time on P1 side, playing on the other might be jarring enough to throw you offWhy is p1 side important in dbz?

GO1 probably felt more comfortable P1 as well. Or he figured Sonic did and didn't want to give him any ground. There were totally more variables that slowed things down that weren't just on Sonic.People will always find a way to be mad at Sonic. If you felt upset about how that situation went down don't be mad at Sonic for following the rules. Remember G01 was the one resisting his seat. Best believe EVO will level up their staff so another situation like this would not take so long. Regardless, i was LIVING for that Grand Finals.
The break wasn't a break tho. It was the TO's figuring out WTF to do so they were all confused lol. To be honest, it made the GF more exciting. Incidentally, does anyone know how long of a break you can take in a reset? Couldn't find it
For sure, I was just wondering if people would be this upset if Sonic asked for a real break, which is also his right to do. Him chilling for 5 minutes still would have cooled off GO1The break wasn't a break tho. It was the TO's figuring out WTF to do so they were all confused lol. Yeah, I can’t imagine it will ever take that long again. I think the not being 100% on the rules and having to translate everything, then having to do a coin flip is 100% why it took so long.People will always find a way to be mad at Sonic. Being a pro, I don't think Sonic has not considered what game he has best chances to win at when he was deciding what to take more seriously, so there's that.If he cared about Injustice he would have won, he dedicated himself to a game and won that game.
Low-key lulz at the notion that Sonic didn't learn SF.As far as the Starfire mirror, you better hope he does not care about that pop off, cause if he learns that character he will come back an embarrass you with her.
I mean, you could see Bane in pools, for about one set... I think Bio learning so many other characters and generally not playing his old main is the rustiest nail in Bane's coffin you could think of at the moment."Harley, Bane and Robin are bottom tier"
lulz
It’s definitely not DBFZ. That was probably one of the harder games to win at EVO with the killers that were in that bracket.Being a pro, I don't think Sonic has not considered what game he has best chances to win at when he was deciding what to take more seriously, so there's that.
He said it himself that his passion is not In2 anymore and that he's focusing more on DBFZ. He didn't want ppl to expect him to make it high in that game which is why I'm surprised her even made top 8 AND on winners side! It’s definitely not DBFZ. That was probably one of the harder games to win at EVO with the killers that were in that bracket.
I think it’s far more likely that he just likes to challenge himself (thus the Smash Bros callout).
