Upcoming balance patch

Apparently everyone besides Goku, Vegeta, Black, and AGohan are getting changes.

I don't feel as hype as I thought I would be for the base Goku/Vegeta trailer. I mean, I was happy to see Spirit Bomb finally, saiyan tail on Vegeta, and Kaio-ken. But eh.

I will be happy if they buff Frieza more....like WAAAAY more! He needs it.

I'm just hoping to say way more buffs for characters than nerfs. If they're really using Black/AGohan/Goku/Vegeta as a baseline, a lot of characters should be getting buffs. Kid Buu, Cell, and Bardock are obviously getting nerfed but I really hope it's minor changes, I don't want to see them ruined.

Srsly tho I think Vegeta looks fun enough for me to pick up. Curious about comboing off dirty-fireworks, looks weirdly edited in the trailer. Just hoping he plays and feels different enough, and it looks like he might. Love the intro too, I’m officially hype.

Goku looks meh imo, no bias at all*. I’m predicting powerful but easy/familiar/boring. Really hoping I’m wrong tho, kaioken could be interesting. I’ll be legit triggered if he can combo into spirit bomb without some kind of assist/dhc gimmick. Shit takes like three episodes to charge. You just know it’s gonna do hella dmg too.

this game is soo hard to get good at, like there is literally so much shit on screen that you can't do anything about at times :/, like what can i even do?

Aware Opinions are divided here, but I’ve been hype for base Vegeta since the original leak, and moreso with each DLC making him more likely.... his trailer teases me so... can’t really see his archetype.... he’s got rekkas again, some kind of meterburn overhead stomp that connects with his lvl3. Can’t wait, so hype....

If thats true, then that puts him down with Vegeta Blue as another meter burner instead of a meter builder. Already a big negative in this cast of characters w/ certain few who easily dominate over the rest. That's NOT something to look forward to....unless it doesn't use meter, THAT be Righteous.

It sounds severe, but if you’re blocking shit you’ve already made a mistake at some point. This game is threading-the-neutral, and forcing them to do the same with your own assists.

Edit - but some teams make it noticeably harder than others... just don’t make 2 mistakes in a row lol

I thought the exact same thing. I’m hoping dirty fireworks is his assist and that it tracks vertically like Gotenks assist. This would make Vegeta blue much less meter dependent for bnbs, and an all Vegeta team a real possibility.

This game has a lot of cleaning up to do and great expectations to meet. I just hope they deliver on making these DLC characters viable and do deliver what we all want in this balance patch. BALANCE! MECHANIC CHANGES! BETTER ONLINE! MORE MODES!

k, well i've changed up my frieza team again, this time im alternating between Frieza, Yamcha and Black, or Frieza, ssj Goku, and black, mastering yamcha's rekka's is tricky.

i just need a better sense of when to use assists in the neutral to gain the upper hand besides just herp derp superdash into yamcha or mid pressure.

I didn’t originally want to keep Yamcha in both teams, but he supports them both perfectly... I’ve totally embraced him now tbh.

Vegeta blue builds meter really well actually. Not like Vegito but still really good.

Aw ya gotenks is great for SSB vegeta I wish I liked him.

For me,

Kid Gohan / Bardock / SSJ Vegeta

Blue Vegeta / Trunks / Blue Goku (dat canon story arc team doe)

I’ve also been messing around with Adult Gohan / Bardock / Blue Goku and I’m honestly surprised at how well that’s working out. Lots of DHC, lots of rushdown, I’m basically cycling 3 point chars and 2 of them perform as decent anchors.
