MKF30
Fujin and Ermac for MK 11
Thanks yeah, MK C for what it was wasn't that bad. I mean they filmed in Florida, had a super low budget and it was cool that they brought back some of the same MK actors from the movies like Chris Casamassa(Scorpion) and ironically J.J. Perry who played Sub-Zero, winded up playing Scorpion in MK Annihilation lol. Also, Jeffrey Meek was a great Raiden but also a fantastic Shao Kahn, much better and darker than the one in Annihilation.Qonquest was actually really good, I watched all of the episodes, it was a really gun show.
And yeah you are right about the rating and you got a point regarding MKA.
Well like I said earlier, the MK movies didn't exactly followed the lore one for one, hence they have thier own canon, it's just that they were still very true to it and you could they were MK movies. So yes comic films from Marvel and DC also don't go one for one with their source material but they are still very true to it.
I think DC is closer than Marvel is, Marvel tends to lighten shit up compared to the comics(which while compared to DC are lighter but darker than the Marvel movies) DC is just dark in general lol books, games and movies even animation. Just watch Flashpoint and Killing Joke among Red Hood and many others you'll see what I mean.
Yeah I mean for the most part I would say comic films are closer to the comics than vid game movies, I agree but sometimes now days they stray off or have horrible miscastings ie( Ryan Reynolds for GL and the chick playing Starfire in Titans coming this year) One thing that bugs me a little bit, when Marvel does it strays off it's "funny and light" when DC does it it's "too dark" but what people(the casual movie goers dont know) is that the comics of DC typically are darker than Marvel's as well, as a comic fan besides gamer for more than 30+ years. I can easily confirm this. I mean just compare Injustice to MVC for example, they're alternate universe stories of course but even their mainstream universe I'd feel the same way. Not saying it's a bad thing per-se I mean TDK worked perfectly yet Joker as we all know never had a painted face, he fell in a vat of chemicals but Ledger's performance was arguably the best out of any comic film, easily at least for a villain that's for damn sure.Hey, comic book movies aren't really as off as some video game into movie adaptations were. They may tell completely new stories, but what was par the course for comic books as well, seeing how they ran for decades and went through many reboots. Can't really go off the rails more than that.
I mean, they don't replace speedster Flash with some average Joe kickboxer...
Video game adaptations though, hoo boy. Just see Uwe Boll's shooting spree (Bloodrayne, Dungeon Siege, Hitman) and despair.
I think it says something that DoA was one of the most truthful to a source movies based on vidya.
I hear ya, though. I think video game movies would do better if they followed the first MK movie and like you said DOA's path, however DOA the movie while true to the source wasn't that great sadly, I think Paul Anderson took his time on MK and it showed. But yeah I would say out of most you have MK, DOA, Resident Evil(with the exception of Alice), Silent Hill.
