lol Literally it takes HOURS of repetitive bullshit to grind, the AI is stupid easy, and you barely get any zeni for each fight unless you get to the very last arch and beat that on HARD mode. MAN O MAN fuck THAT! I'd rather jack off cuz at least i get pleasure out of that! BOOM!
I’d rather jack off with razor blades than do that shit lol.

The worst part of story mode for me is the load times. This game takes too long to load up a fight and it becomes painfully noticeable when you are grinding through dozens of easy fights in story mode. At least that's my experience on Xbox.

LOL

I, for one, actually went through the pain of beating all 3 story arcs. Story mode is easily the worst part of the game, it was excruciating to make myself do it. By far the worst story mode of any DBZ game I've played. I played all the arcs with 3 "win zeni up" or whatever they are, and I still barely even got 1000 zeni (most times not even that) per fight. The fan service wasn't enough for me, and I was the kid who came home from school just to glue myself to the TV to see the new DBZ episode. I still remember how epic it felt watching Goku go ssj on Frieza after he killed Krillin.
^This.

So disappointed with story mode.

Psyched for the shakeup and dlc, but hoping some Nappa buffs will make up for Vegeta assist nerfs, we all know it’s coming...

They really need to do something about ragequitters in this upcoming patch. They are literally ruining ranked/casuals. I guess square color/win n loss ratio is so precious that they become priority over actually getting better in the game. Fuck'em...

They need to do so that when you quit/disconnect YOU get a loss and the opponent gets a win. I can guarantee you would definitely see less and less ragequitters.

At least you can decline the blatant offenders. That’s a start

Feels like "lobby names" don't help with the rage quitting issue.

Though I really appreciate "NeverGonnaGinyuUp", it not being immediately apparent in any gameplay footage you use the consoles record functionality for probably makes them feel a bit safer from call outs for RQing.

I agree with some who have said the game is starting to bore them. Actually haven’t even played in about a month or so now. Waiting for Zamasu and Vegito, both look refreshing and awesome. The game is good, it just gets repetitive. There isn’t a HUGE focus on some of the high level aspects I like, it’s more of “pressure until you make the opponent guess wrong, then don’t drop your easy as hell combo”. Like I said, nothing “wrong” with that, just got boring to me. Which is a shame, because it’s a great fighting game.

It's all so very confusing.

This.

The game is incredibly fun, and there's a ton to do in matches, but ultimately, no matter who you're playing, and how your team is built the game is *almost* always about getting them to block something on the ground and then setting for an IAD - usually off an assist - and then combo into repeat. You CAN play differently and you can def win - but at the core of it right now, the "right" way to play is blockstring - mix - combo - repeat, and we're seeing the top tier characters just continue to pull away from the rest of the cast.

Not trying to sound like the game is bad, or that there's NOTHING to the game but what I said above, for 95% of us the game isnt as simple as I make it out, and we arent playing at the level that boils away so many other options - I'm damn sure not.. but still, I feel like the patch we have looming is coming at an excellent time. I'm crossing my fingers that this patch and the new characters REALLY shake things up. I think they will.

well i hope they don't ruin pressure, lol. and i really hope they don't do somehting dumb like get rid of the auto combo tracking because then that'd make doing the 2h jump cancel combos impossible :/

so i've been told i need to not be afraid to go into the air while playing this game, but its kinda hard because being airborne seems like a very vulerable position to be in this game.

I'm looking forward to making a new team with likely Zamasu when he drop.

Will definitely be checking Vegito too.

If neither tickle my fancy I might take the time to learn Ginyu.

Auto combo tracking... not sure if im misunderstanding what you mean, but auto combo tracking is one of the worst things in this game. Certain characters like bardock and adult gohan can just mash light auto combos and even if you make them wiff, the auto combo reverses direction, corrects and tracks you anyway. That's stupid.

Agree with the meta getting stale. "Oh you blocked this move / assist with ass loads of blockstun, now watch a never ending demo of my normals that only ends when you eventually guess wrong and eat 50% damage into whatever set up i have that just makes it happen again."

Its seriously to the point where the first person who blocks an assist on the ground loses. Even if you block correctly for like 30 attacks, it doesnt matter.

Against chqracters with normals that advance too far like cell kid buu and goku black, even reflect doesnt matter because they just get to ignore that it happened.

This game just needs better defensive options. It always has. I would actually like to see reflect (in some way) mitigate the advancing aspect of follow up normals so that it actually mattered. I dont think it should cancel strings because then you couldnt punish people for pressing buttons and wiffing afterwards

Interesting. So Bardock's and A.Gohan's autocombo track everyone? I think that if I use Hit, I might counter it with his special reflect.

EntropicByDesign

It's all so very confusing.
I think he means how auto combos re-position the opponent when done in the air. Or maybe he means how when you 2h then hit H again you SD track to the opponent? That wouldnt matter though because you can hit 2h then just manually hit SD for the same thing.

This is the first game I've played that's more enjoyable to watch at mid level play than high level. Offense is just too tough.

The reflect in this game is utter shit. Its super risky to use, and the payoff is not a free get out of jail free card because attacks like AUTO COMBOS will still track and hit. If reflect had a waaaaay better pushback to full screen, then that will make reflect worth using more often.

Im slowly looking at the popularity of this game diminish. I mean, looking up Twitch streams Saturday night even frickin' MVCi had more viewers than DBFZ and thats sad. I know....its just one day, but still. I keep saying it and will continue to say that this game needs the patch NOW!
