Yeah on block SD should be negative. Nothing insane, but it more or less ends your turn. You used an ultra powerful tool that shit's on so many options your opponent has and there should be a downside to that outside getting just 2h'd.

Maybe add a 'h' SD that costs a meter and works like the current one or something. Shrug.
Wouldnt even mind if it wasnt block punishable. Just not varying plus frames and cancellable.

Yeah, I don't think I'd like to see it punishable at all. But I don't care for it being plus.

I don't mind SD too much personally, but in a ''best case scenario" kinda thing, id like to see it adjusted in some way.

I hate Vanish I think the mechanic is dumb and the fact that it is plus is ridiculous. I hate the fact that you can dash cancel out of SD you should have to hold some pressure If it is blocked not make your opponent guess on your next move especially since stopping SD isn't easy unless the opponent use it in a stupid way. I hate the fact that hard tag can lead to so much damage with certain characters like Cell and finally I think that Reflect need to be reworked. IDK If it should stop being available on the 1st frame anymore then buff or what it truly need but I know it needs to be worked on.
But it uses meter tho which adds on more strategy to the game. You just dont vanish for free. You actually gotta be active to get that.

I must agree with @EntropicByDesign about reflect. Even the pros cant even get it right. Its such a tricky mechanic, its like rolling the dice. If it reflects, cool but you can still get hit with a tracking LLL or a long range attack. If the reflect whiffs, you get punished. But sometimes it doesn't even come out, so ppl just mash the reflect between combos hoping it push blocks.

I think what should be done is to increase the pushblock to make reflect more useful. Just an idea.

Would love to find more ways to get dragon balls within a match because that shit is useless and NOBODY gets them in a match.

I hate the fact that air to air sd beats every button and tracks. And I hate how plus it becomes in sparking blast. It seems super dumb to me. I'd like to see it become slightly more negative on b too. Also since after a blocked sd you have every air movement option at your disposal, plus vanish to make it safe.

I find the more annoying moves like shit thats -2 or 6m +0 and pressing 5l after and getting blown up like it was +3.
That's true. I just get pissed because overall I'm a reactive player, so not getting that 2H when I know in 2f or less that shit would be free triggers me sometimes lol. I have to sit there and make a read / bait it when normally I'd be doing something else

Oh yeah it sucks for sure. I just hate that online characters can steal their turn back easily with unsafe moves but due to the input lag they basicly become safe or plus unless you can jedi the timing of the button press.

The more i think about it, the more i wish raw SD just wasnt even in the game at all. At the very least it shouldnt be able to effing change directions once the person flies past someone. Also it shouldnt auto correct.

There are enough other movement options already. You can read a full screen projectile and wiff punish it with run sj air dash anyway.

Since that's never going to happen, i dont think it should go through regular projectiles either.

Vanish costing a meter doesnt make it ok that its plus... meter building is never a problem in this game, and when you combine vanish with heavy pressure characters like a gohan and a beam assist, that means assist plus vanish is basically a free blockstring into the corner (provided blocking works... if not, you just die... oh.. here comes a low. Guess ill crouch block.. oh it hit me anyway.. gg i guess). With good adult gohan players, that basically means you get a free character kill every time you vanish and assist if you have the meter for heavy stupid legs.

With the ridiculous never ending corner carrying blockstrings, you shouldnt have situations where you cant avoid getting into that situation. Vanish should not be plus. If vanish is going to be plus, then there needs to be better defensive options while blocking. Reflect is mostly garbage because the characters that make this a problem have advancing normals in their strings, so they get to just ignore that they got reflected and just keep attacking anyway.

FD to increase pushback, IB to reduce block stun, blitz shield to crumble predictable blockstrings, block bursts to reset pressure at a cost. There's a reason why those things were needed in other offensive heavy anime games... and its crazy that theres less options in a game where that can be extended and tripled with assists.

Speaking of SD, I'm wondering TFW SD isn't punishable, once I low block, and then 2H? Did they add much more pushback to whiff it or am I that slow? Close SD are hard punishing on reaction, so I block, and then 2H. I can react against moderate to far distance SD to punish, but not the close ones. Same goes for the tag in SD. So far, I found that 5M clashes the SD, and this happened against my buddy. Air 5M blocks the SD in the same manner and I believe it's open for a combo.

Dunno if this happened to you guys.

I don't understand why one of the newest of fighting games to come out isn't using rollback..
I know right!!! It's vexing. I absolutely hate the online connections for this game. It's garbage and it's so disappointing to see such a great game being wasted on this shitty, shitty, shitty, input delay system.

I can care less if GGxrd and what not use it. It's 2018 and nrs games have better online systems then this.

5 bar = 1 frame or 2 frames of input delay my ass.

Meter is many thing in this game but precious it is not you get it too easily for the price of a vanish not being worth it a 100% of the times

Japanese companies don't use rollback and even when they do it sucks(see SFV)

The game is great, no doubt about it BUT please - don't defend it's garbage netcode. Input delay based netcode? In 2018?..

Its so annyoing when u try to play your buddies that you had no problems playing in MKX/I2 (GGPO) but in DBFZ the connection just sucks ass..

Oh thats the WORST part of the game and ill say it over n over again because it needs to be changed. The online is hot ass, stank ass, doodoo brown ass GARBAGE! The constant grind of fighting online is a big struggle because u get kicked out of rooms constantly, and games disconnecting. Thats waaaay worst than rage quitters. As a matter of fact, shit, thats probably part of the reasons why people rage quit! lol

So when ppl complain about mechanics like "I wish this was plus, i wish this was that blah blah fuckidy blah." We can wish for frivolous shit all day. BUT what needs to happen FIRST is better damn netcode! Better online features. Better online period!

It took Tekken almost a full damn year to get it right, the same company doing this game. Think about that....

so before asking for all this other small shit, I feel in strong numbers, we can push them to get the internet right. Now im not an netcode technical guru or none of that shit. But how can online be better with their netcode ?Question mark?

+on block vanish doesn't really bother me that much.

Though sparking giving + on block SD's all day drives me nuts.
It definitely should.... considering there are scenarios where it being plusbasically means you die and theresnot a single thing you can do about it.
