You go call your crew
We can rendezvous at the bar around two
I don't understand the mechanics behind it because I originally thought going with 3d models makes it easier to add costumes compared to sprites buuut I've been told this Xrd style isn't easy to make costumes for so idk.Do people still feel the same way about too much trouble of adding alternative costumes now, seeing all the mods that have come out already? The mods aren't beautiful but kind of makes me think that alternative costumes wouldn't be as difficult to add as people make it out to be.
is this game easy to pick up or is there a huge learning curve?
The game mechanics and combos are easy its playing real people with mvc\anime experience is a while other beast. This is just my opinion though I struggled pretty hard learning to play against competent players.I feel like it's easy to pick up even without anime experience if you go in with some understanding of what an anime game is..
In terms of raw difficulty, it's very straight forward and the very basic stuff is extremely effective, with nuances and optimisations to add and layer as you get more comfortable.
Omfg, I actually didn’t say that... hahaha. Sorry @JBeezYBabY, I thought I was roasting myself turns out I was roasting you.Lol how tf did that happen?!? My bad, probably... XD

I don't know have an answer to how I feel about the rest of the post I'm gonna need more time for that, but as for this bit, up tech mixed with delayed wake up all day. Also, what tech has been working best for y’all? Up tech, down tech, forward tech, delayed wakeup, etc? It seems the best is up tech, since you can up tech and then actually punish the offender pushing buttons on the ground.
Tbf even in a long blockstring you have to remember that most characters only have 1 low in their arsenal. So how do y’all feel about offense and pressure in this game? Specifically, the safe true block strings with assists, that make you guess for the entire block string?
Obviously, the fake pressure that has gaps isn’t what I’m talking about. There’s plenty of options against that (reflect, vanish, lvl 3’s, counter poke, etc). But the 20 second TRUE block strings that you have to block. I know there’s very little chip damage, but having to guess for 20 seconds (hyperbole, it’s probably not literally 20 seconds) is a little frustrating.
Is the only option to alpha counter? Because I’ve been doing that and it works some of the time, other times they are still able to punish it. Is there another option I’m unaware of? Genuinely asking because aside from lag, it’s the #1 thing I struggle against.

IMO, regarding the pressure game, anything that closes the gap is clearly important. Dragon Rush, assists, Sparking and L/M/H/S powers help in the pressure game. Some powers with the assists help with the midscreen pressure and mind games. So how do y’all feel about offense and pressure in this game? OD means overdose. But it’s used as kinda like “That’s really good!”, or “That’s crazy!”, and even a replacement for “OP”. And no one will ever say “That’s overdose!”, because that sounds stupid. Which is weird since that’s what OD means. It’s kinda it’s own word and hard to explain. I literally was trying to explain this to my non fighting game playing brother, and he didn’t get it. I guess my explanation sucks, but hopefully it helps, lol.Seen this guys:
Sonicfox's current tier list.
I agree with a LOT of what he says - not everything, but a lot.
Also, what does OD mean? I hear people say it instead of saying something is OP.. so I know it means something is very strong, but what does it stand for?

Ive seen OD used a lot by people around my age (I'm 25) or younger. Ive never really seen it used to much in the FGC community unless its by someone who uses quite a bit in their normal speech. My gf says it a lot especially when she thinks I'm overacting to something and says "You are ODing right now." Just one of those words people who already use it a lot try to replace a more commonly used synonym since they already use say OD a lot.No i understand, thanks, lol.. I knew it was a stand-in for OP and generally meant "really good/awesome" but I had no idea what it actually stood for, or where it came from. I'll stick with OP lol.
Random thought: I have no regrets after switching to stick.
Why does this feel like a Deja Vu moment ?Question mark? Randomly weird lolOD means overdose. But it’s used as kinda like “That’s really good!”, or “That’s crazy!”, and even a replacement for “OP”. By Alpha counter, do you mean the tag cancel? Still need to remember to do that lol. But as far as blocking a long ass block string, i try to find a way to time my reflect so I can push back. But does that only work when there is gaps? If so, thats kinda pointless...So how do y’all feel about offense and pressure in this game? Oh shit do we have the same team ?Some corner Adult Gohan solo mixup concepts:
Basically you have a bunch of option here.
-iAD ML (double overhead in the air), into 5L which is a low
-iAD M, 5L
-iAD ML, iAD ML, etc
-iAD H, 6M
-iAD H, 5L
-iAD H, Dragon Rush
-iAD 2S, 5L
-iAD 2S, iAD H, 5L
-iAD 2S, Dragon Rush
Essentially, they either have to block high high low. High low. High then tech the DR. For 2S you are basically faking the high and going into the low. I got the 2S idea from Nakkiel. I got the double OH idea from playing Nahh Bruhh. His defense was great so I started doing these and they are honestly pretty hard to block, you pretty much have to guess.
I wanted solo mixups that don’t require any installs/levels from Gohan, and that don’t require assists. With the assist you can do these pretty safely, and they are even harder to block because with Vegeta’s assist for instance, you can barely even see Gohan. Same with Black’s beam assist.
That’s the same as guard cancel, right ?Why does this feel like a Deja Vu moment ?Question mark? Randomly weird lol
