I'm pretty sure you just press 236A1/A2 for lvl1 and 214A1/A2 for the level 3. I don't think you have to do the full half-circle.

Thats what i thought too, and heard timing was tight to get it out, wasnt ever able to do it tho.

I believe half circle is the correct input, no strict timing needed or hard knockdown. All that is needed is a single landed hit and then u can convert to a tag super.

I'm at work so can't test but I'm like 95% sure it's just a quarter circle input. Timing isn't that strict but the stipulation is that you have to cancel your attack into the super. You can't do the typical hard knockdown, fall to the ground then super. You have to be canceling into the super, not doing it raw.

Isn't that even harder to do because the tracking goes WAY higher??? But i guess the LLs will always hit. Maybe its just easier and consistent to pull off cuz sometimes combos be dropping.

SonicFox doesn’t use the 2nd 2H, and I don’t know why. I understand from what y’all have said, that it’s easier to do the combo ender SF does, and that could be why he does it. But my point is, MLL 2H j.LLL ender is very easy to do and specifically in situations where they aren’t too high up or anything, SF just does NOT do the 2nd 2H for some reason.

I want to know if there’s a real strat behind this or if it’s just an easier combo. Because I’ve seen him, PL, and others do it, when MLL 2H j.LLL does more damage.

For the cancel into assist super without using your points super, you have to use half circle.

For instance say your team is A.Gohan, Vegeta, Black. You have A.Gohan out, Then when doing a j.LLL ender, you cancel the last hit into half circle forwards or backwards + L1/LB and Vegeta will swap in and do his super, while A.Gohan does not do his super.

But it’s definitely HCF/HCB not QCF/QCB.

I just started using myself and that 2H in the middle of combos is a tricky motion in general. Sometimes its not even worth it with the drop rates. With Black, he has ALOT of ways to do hard knockdowns and he's strong in the air, so that could play a factor in it too.

Were they doing assist heavy combos or just basic bnbs?

I don’t like this game on PS4. It’s laggier online and I swear there’s more delay. But I also prefer the XB1 controller. Sooo, haven’t been on ththe PS4 in a few days.

WOMP! That explains it....and yeah....honestly It has gotten worst to point where now Uncle JBeezY is starting to get frustrated. This online REALLY needs to get fixed asap! Then again, the same thing happened to Tekken 7 and they just NOW got their online together and how long has that game been out on console ?Question mark?

Easier. The 2H is just too unreliable to use on everybody for so little benefit. The first time Gohan or Buu drops out and you get absolutely fucked you'll probably change your tune too.

Finally starting to get into my groove a little now. Using Majin Buu, Piccolo, and Ginyu. Also it seems I have an easier time doing those air combos if I reg smash instead of down smashing idk why

That team sounds hype af. Was thinking possible Buu/Ginyu/Other sometime down the line. What’s those 2’s synergy like?

Maybe it's just my imagination. I know there was damage boosted AI before but im legit losing characters (and alot of Zeni) because I got hit by an input detected L3

So.. For some weird reasons, there is a small chance Im dropping Kid... Well, putting him aside for a bit. It's not something I want to do, but we all make exceptions for friends and I'm considering giving up Kid so a buddy can have him (If I keep Kid then out of the core group I play with, three of us would be running him and that's just too much mirror for me).. for a bit... I'm trying like hell to get him invested in a different character.. but ive bugged and tormented him to play FGs for years and I want to do everything I can to get him into the game..

That said.. If it were to happen.. does the following team make me a bad person? lol

Dope team:

Ginyu / Krillin / Gohan


Saw and spoke to someone blasting with this. Ginyu zoning + Rocks and a DP. If you get in and get a combo he has a good chance of getting out of whatever oki thanks to Gohan assist, at which point he eats a Sensu and goes back to trolling. Builds a shitton of meter for a pumping up Gohan real early, the meter investment is also able to be sustained better since you can get a Sensu off. Plays a real lame hard to get in on style and then just flips and goes in hard when ppl start to get frustrated and his Ginyu cycle is where he wants it. Seemed like a lot of fun. Ginyu is easily the best zoner in the game.

After a little shuffling around and figuring out what I wanted from my team I have come to a conclusion that I will use Trunks, Blugeta and bloku. Not a super op team but plenty good enough to help me learn neutral better and that's all I care about right now.

The AI's damage is higher than usual especially in arcade mode. For some reason that has been added to be more challenging....which i think its dumb, but hey....that's how its intended, at least for now.

Oh I don't. A lot of the really strong characters are also easy to learn and extremely fun. So you're kind of cutting off your own nose to spite your face if you enjoy them but won't play them because they're "overused" or "scummy top tier". If you like 'em, flaunt 'em.

I'm just throwing around the scumbag terminology for fun and hopefully no-one has taken it personally. Play who you enjoy!

Took a day off to try some Turtles and uhhh....kinda over that now lol.

But my concern is, has Arcsystem or Bandai Namco addressed the servers at all? Its starting to kill my vibe a little about this game...
