Hi all... Do we have frame data resources?
I saw some of you mention the start up frames and the frames on block for some moves....

i just want to say that the input engine in this game works flawlessly!!!
need a mention i guess since we nrs players kinda always have to deal with a bad input engine.
this is how it should be in every modern fighting game.

also, this game looks super balanced so far!

Also I wanted to know if anyone has been labbing the 20 frames of input lag. I find it the best version of input lag out there imo. Even better then Tekken 7 input lag simulator because it feels so bloody heavy to to move or get out your inputs precisely.

I also find it perfect for practicing my combo's has it forces me to input every single button on command and as timely as possible without falling to anxiety of dropping my inputs and builds that muscle memory.

I'm absolutely loving this game if I only had more time to play.
Like training at 300 times gravity!

...if you happen to land during the combo (with assist extension for example) you get your 2 jump cancels back.
Awesome, didn’t know this. Might be able to apply this to the end of my Nappa combos (w assists). Will test later. There’s a grounded cancellable 5H near the end. If this is jump-cancellable I could be looking at a sizeable increase. Thanks a million, you’re a seriously knowledgable dude. Helped me loads. :)

A video could be helpful to know exactly what you did but afaik you get 1 ground jump cancel and 1 air one.
There are some characters or scenarios that can change this, for example if you happen to land during the combo (with assist extension for example) you get your 2 jump cancels back.
There's also Golden Frieza nonsense, I know he gets 2 airdashes in gold form, might be 2 jump cancels too but I dropped Frieza few days back, might test it out tomorrow.
I REALLY need a sparring partner. Im starting to hit a wall which is not good. Maybe i just need to play all the other modes and stay off ranked for awhile but i really want to up my defense. Mind to help a brotha up for a practice course maybe later tonight ?Question mark?

The record feature is really awkward and “hidden”. You have to press in L3 to record. And then R3 to play it back. You also can’t set the AI to reversal jab or reversal anything unless it’s the record feature. The training mode definitely is lacking, but it’s better than nothing.

Piccolo’s overhead special where he teleports above you with an overhead attack is pretty good. You have to react 2H or dash forwards into 2M combo starter. Move is a lot better than it seems. Guy online was bodying me with it. It’s also safe on block, so if you don’t aa it or whiff punish, you’re not punishing it.

Something to note about landing and then using assists and spark cancels to extend your combos..

Yes, doing that will reset your ability to jump cancel, but it also significantly reduces your opponents hit stun

Sure, you can double jump again, but your opponent may be able to recover before you end your combo.

Example with 16.... my bnb has an assist into jlm jc jlm air grab. If i start a combo and assist to extend it and then try that at the end, my opponent will recover before the jump cancelled jlm lands, and the follow up air grab will wiff.

Tl;dr, if you are going to extend combos with assists, shorten your combos after the extension to keep them tight, or make sure your opponent isnt going to recover. Think of it like black beat in GG

I cant even figure out how to record anything so that it shows my damage... all the videos ive done are recordings of the dummy.

What do you guys do to punish Super dashes on block?
Pretty sure they’re safe on block. If I don’t 2H before they hit, sometimes I go for a dragon rush, but that’s risky since after they hit you on block they can attack, dash forwards/backwards, etc.

Im starting to punish with 2H more now, but damn....maybe im just a bit frustrated from all the other scrubby stuff i keep getting beat by. This game is so much ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK and im learning how to DEFEND DEFEND DEFEND!

Im at Super Saiyan now and i think i might have hit my wall....for now. The common things ive been seeing is just duck low and block. THATS IT! They turtle like a bitch and i just dont know what to do lolol If i dash, they 2H me, if i try to overhead, they 2H me. So im trying to find optimal ways to open them up from that stance.

ATTACK ATTACK PRESSURE! Its just constant and i dont kno when its my turn and what buttons to press to apply my pressure.

You always turtle back and make them come to you instead.

In that case, i guess im thinking of throwing fireball/ki blast until they super dash to me, or if a have a meter use vanish for a wall bounce. Im still trying to figure out the timing from a vanish wall bounce to do a complete combo. That timing is really fast.

Afaik you can’t combo from a raw wall bounce (only mid combo where the ‘smash effect’ hasn’t been used up. Might be able to use an assist, will try later.

One thing about anime games that people need to get used to is that it's generally a pretty bad situation to be in if you're blocking attacks. Thats why movement is so important in games like this. Blocking and then punishing isnt really how this goes, which can be tough coming from nrs games.

The only thing that makes this game different in that regard is superdash.

Instead of blocking and "waiting your turn," try reflecting attacks and getting comfortable with iad, super jumping etc. Those things will help alot.

For SD punish, you pretty much need to hit it out of the air. On block, freiza's 2H seems to be able to beat most peoples follow up, but it can be blocked and punished with dragon rush.

Just punish it a couple times until your opponent stops doing it... or just win if they keep doing it

Right... but i mean... how do i record what im doing and then play it back without using the dummy to do that?
I see what ur asking. That im not too sure they have a function for that. I could be wrong, but what i always do is manually record it with the share button and look back at any sick combos/tech i happen to do.

Sultani

Warrior
Not sure what you’re asking. You press L3, you take control of the dummy. Then you press it again to save whatever you recorded. Then anytime you want the dummy to do what you recorded, you press R3.
I dont want to record and play back the dummy. I want to record and play back player 1

“As far as I know”
Also sorry meant to say teleport, not ‘wall bounce’
OOOO ive seen the shit! And pros are getting full ass combos from it, its SCARY on how you can confirm from almost anything. BUT I DONT KNOW HOW lol. So....ill figure it out, i guess.....but wanted to see if anybody has used a RAW vanish/teleport attack to confirm into another combo. Maybe there's certain circumstances like.....OOOOOO I THINK I GOT IT!

Attacks cause COUNTER states, right? So im guessing, when your opponent is doing.....lets say a kamehameha attack, and you react to a vanish attack, that causes a COUNTER state which leads to a wall bounce, which leads to convert into a full combo.

PLEASE SOMEBODY TEST THIS NOW! And let me know if my theory is right. RIghteous :)
