How do people feel about loot boxes (z capsules)? Sounds like they’ll be in-game currency and cosmetic unlockables only. I’m really glad on both counts, and thus pretty happy with their inclusion. Must be my inner filthy-casual shining through....

So in the beta you could edit teams and have a bunch of them. But you had to pre select the team before you went into matchmaking. You also couldn’t switch your team in the “set”, you had to stick with the same team. Basically it means no counter picking is going to be allowed online UNLESS it’s changed in the main game. Very interesting imo.

Also with the teams, I hope you can edit the names of them instead of having “Team 1, Team 2”, etc. I want to have a team with 2 Vegetas and a big beefy character like Nappa or something and then call the team “Meat and Two Vegs”... hehe.

But seriously though, I want to be able to name my teams. Not at all a significant thing, but it would be dope imo.

Is counter picking a thing in 3v3 games? I thought it would be less relevant compared to a 1v1

As long as it’s aesthetics only, I have no problem. Also if you can get them with in game currency, even less of a problem.

You can instant air dash with forward+R2/RT as well.

I see this being really useful for mixups as well mid screen you can do a block string that leads into a st. Medium instant air dash with like an assist covering you to go for a crossup

It will also help my friends who are BRAND NEW to fighting games. I’m gonna try to learn an anime game for the first time while also training them. Gonna be tough but this game seems way more accessible for new players than most fighters so... yeah.

If the online servers are up early that would be messed up. At least if the ranked playlist was up. Personally I won’t be on the leaderboards due to me being a noob to anime fighters and I actually have a life (unfortunately). But honestly I think all you should be allowed to do if you got the game early is offline stuff. Kinda evens out the unfairness a bit.

Very hard to decide. I REALLY wish you could pick individual voices like another fighter (can’t remember what FG it was). Like I just want Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo to be in English dub, that’s really it. Christopher Sabat does a fantastic job with Vegeta and Piccolo and Goku in japanese is literally the worse thing ever.

Overall the Japanese is better but those 3 in particular are better in english imo.

So not sure what I’ll go with, gotta test them both and just figure out which one I like more for the game.

Sub is the way to go overall. Japanese for obvious reasons i way better in this game then english dub, imo.

This game is just to much fun, been playing till like 3 AM, and now im like half asleep at work.

I always play on PC if the game is available. Playing on consoles only if there is no PC version. So for DBFZ althou i got both versions (PC and PS4) i'm gonna play almost exclusively on PC.

Ima go dub, as I grew up on it (Sabat is life). There’s very few anime’s where I’d make that call tho... pretty much if this, Akira or Hellsing then dub, else sub.

talking about eu here, almost the whole anime competitive competition is on ps4.
its also the tournament standard for obvious reasons.

bottom line: is u guys want good competition u might find them on psn...

If they dont cut the amount of zeni (in game currency) you get from almost anything (arcade mode, probably online etc) it's a non issue. You also get a lot of zeni when you achieve milestones (like for example finishing arcade mode).

I dont see any problem in getting anything you want as long as you put some time into the game. Im like around 150 hours in and got almost everything beside few very rare cosmetics. I dont see any point in spending cash for it unless you're some casual and want everything right away.

So imo - its good atm.
