I'm going to make Fate top ten

build yellow ankhs on supes, anti air with b2, whiff punish f2, meterburn roll his lasers when ure in red with an ankh because u can punish for like 400. b2 punish after meterburn roll, try to convert more. if supes does a straight laser im 90% positive u can shoot a fireball and have enough time to duck the next laser. avoid chip if u can and do your best to avoid trades when supes has trait out

Last night i did like a Doctor Fate vs Superman series. lmao. I played like 100 games of Doctor Fate vs Superman with many high level Superman players and now FINALLY i'm starting to understand why this MU might be 5-5. :D Thanks A LOT to you guys my fellas :)

I think once people get more comfortable with MB rolls and the matchup against fate in general, we might find that some matchups aren't as neutral or advantageous as we thought.

It is better this way
So I used to reccomend that all of us have an Aquaman, but now I think Fates should have a pocket Supergirl. Characters we don't like such as Deadshot, Superman, Batman, Catwoman, Supergirl herself, she can totally throw down with, she's probably the best pick in the game for that asshole Deadshot, and she's pretty easy to pick up. I most likely won't because I only like Fate and am okay with the consequences of that, but I'd reccomend you guys to if you wanna push your game further and stay with Fate, I'd hate to see you guys spend money and time and just lose to Deadshot just because.

Personally I'm going with Fate, Cheetah for Deadshot/Superman/Supergirl, and GA for Batman (maybe Catwoman?).

I use Doctor Fate and Green Arrow. NO losing matchups :cool:

I've been grinding the Starfire matchup both on both ends. Definitely looks like Fate wins IF you don't eat a MB B3 from her lol.

Supergirl isn't a bad matchup imo. Never had a single problem with it. Why are you guys losing to Supergirl and why do you all think it's a bad mu?

I feel like I'm the only Fate that believes it is even..

Are you playing against a good SG that doesn't let you get away with doing shit after glyph on block, doesn't abuse predictable teleports, and knows how to stuff wake up glyph. The thing about dr fate is that it is very uncommon to run into someone that actually knows the matchup. Like we've learned that it's best to beat SM's air lasers with gold ankhs, but I've noticed that some top SM players have noticed that his heavy straight laser is very effective against dr fate's trying to build ankhs.

I think it might be best to mb orbs about one dash away from your body in the flash matchup. This also might be true against robin, batman, catwoman, Aquaman, and definitely red hood. Also, how the fuck do you anti air Aquaman cuz b2 doesn't seem reliable at all.

I don't really have matchup numbers yet because I don't have enough time to play and/or experience but I have a good feel for most matchups and where Fate does and doesn't do well, so here's my ghetto matchup chart, feel free to ask questions or critique me.

Well 2 things, getting your wakeup stuffed and push challenged aren't Supergirl specific scenarios. Also the teleport, even when random, can be blocked quite easily--just takes some muscle memory and conditioning to block it crossup. The recovery on fireball is also good enough that's it's hard to make a mistake and get hit with her slow teleport during your recovery.

I went to summer jam and Supergirl was the most used character there, so I got a lot of experience with good SGs

My experience in all MUs right now isn't where it should be but I played zcythes GL and I would say use boulder and EX battery blast to get in and contest projectiles. Also b1 goes over my f2 and it also has more range that my f2 as well.

GL has options but I'm thinking it's prob in my favor cause I can put the zoning on you.

Green Arrow vs Deadshot = 5-5 or 4.5-5.5 (fire arrows FTW)
Green Arrow vs Supergirl = 5-5 (again... fire arrows FTW)
Green Arrow vs Superman = 5-5 (again and again... fire arrows FTW)

Why does he lose to Batman. I just place Floating Orb right infront of me, step directly into it, spam more shots then call another and a healing pool.

It's just like the Robin MU to me. pam his ass out.

That's what I'd do as a GL player, I hate playing the neutral game against GL as Fate, his b1 is just so good, it also goes under Fate's projectile.
