Tekken 7 General Discussion Thread - OP Updated With All Tekken Info

Playing on PC.

Been so long since I have actually touched Tekken for more then a match or two.
I remember jack shit about this game.

Kinda disappointed in the PC visuals and load times, but it's not too bad I guess.

It look pretty darn good maxed out at 4K and load times are like 5 seconds from "get ready for the next battle".

Also im rapping scrubs online, it's glorious.

I think it sounds great, I only have a pair of ath m40x though so not really amazing. The background sounds in the stages are really good though.

Since the game is on Steam, and not Windows 10, even if I finally get my rig built, I'd have to buy the game again., and no thanks. I'll eventually get a ONE S or Scorpio, and I'm sure I can upscale it just fine.

Still "PC Master Race" will always have the best options and I gotta shrug and respect it. You pay for the privilege.

I think I just had ridiculous expectations for the load times, they're not bad, just like an inch to long if that makes sense.

Graphics, I need to mess with some settings, it looks a little blurry on my end.
Probably be able to adjust it for better results.

You need a SSD for the load times and upscale if you feel the visuals are not crisp enough. I am running upscaled 1440p on ultra with a non K i5-2500 and a 970 and it looks great.

Xbox will have plenty of players that is all I used to play on and it was fine. Have fun if you run into Andytekken's Ling. It was disgusting 6 years ago in T6 and I can't imagine how good it is now.

I been watching a lot of Dragunov gameplay, mainly JDCR, and I see a lot of them abusing two moves:
1. Running 2 I think it is, he lunged forward and does like a massive downwards punch, this move looks very plus on block? I've seen it used up to 3 time and in a row lol.
2. He leans back a bit and brings his two elbows over his head and brings them down and it seems to launch for a combo?

Are these two moves basically his go to?

1. Its his main pressure tool (f,f,f+2), it's +5/6 on block with decent tracking, also used to some degree for a mix up with d+2. This req. a lot of practice coz if you fuck up f,f,f+2 you will either get a shitty high or whiff terribly in both cases youre dead.

2. im assuming you're talking about b+1+2, also +6 on block but slow (i22 frames) and very short range so use with caution. On hit gives you free stomp.

Those are the best moves Dragunov have but JDCR like any other good players uses a lot more. Dragunov has more good moves and a good command grab (i11). He is my main, i really like his playstyle. I mean he is a sadistic maniac, whats not to like here?

Dvj is so fun think he is taking over for kaz until the rust wears off. I don't ever rememeber ewgf x2 ff3,2,ff being such a pain to connect in t6 and ttt2 its probably the rust though.

My stick is looser then a Asian hooker outside a anime convention and it makes playing painful as fuck.

Jin's F4~zen was nerfed in the patch, no longer +2 on block, reverted back to -1 on block, but the recovery of F4 is still -5

Bf23~zen1+2 launches ppl trying to crouch block even after the first hit.

I'm having the most fun currently with Lee.

I never really considered him at the top of my list but despite not being a character I consider one of my true mains I had the most consistent success in tag 2 with my Lee/Violet team.

Maybe there's a lesson to be learned here...

I did a write-up on Dragunov's moves a few pages back out of memory/TTT2. 1+2 is his power crush now though I think and he has received a couple of new cancels and feints in his strings.

Set the hit analysis function on in practice mode. 2nd electric needs to be a normal one instead of dash electric and you need to time the first forward input of fF3 as soon as you recover from it, you need to hit the 2nd forward input and 3 at the exact same time. If your stick is really loose then I can imagine it's a problem.

I would take pictures of the statue but my newer phone broke and the one I am using right now is archaic and I don't have a digital camera. I could use my HD webcam to take pictures of the statue though, I guess.
