Why do so many people have a problem with a character wearing skimpy clothes? I understand if a game has every female character having huge tits & wearing Bikinis but if there is a character whose personality is they dont give a fuck or they like to flaunt there sexuality why is that a bad thing?

Urien only wore a speedo in third strike and i never hear anyone complain. When he was announced for SFV all i heard was people wanting his 3S costume and when it was found out you could have speedo Urien people were rejoicing. Why is okay for Urien to be almost naked but for Starfire people cry? I hope we get gear options with her in just pasties and a thong on just to piss you people off.
I never said it was an inherently bad thing. I said I didn't care for it. False equivalency arguments are asinine and fruitless. Banana thong Urien works because it's novel, badass, and in all honesty he's a fine specimen of a man. Having lewd bits in your games isn't wrong, a little fanservice one way or the other isn't going to hurt anybody, it's just not my speed for Starfire is all.

Cheers.

Zendaya Calls Out Superhero Video Game For Stealing Her Face

Injustice 2 Called Out By Zendaya For Possibly Borrowing Her Face For Starfire

This past Friday, Injustice 2 pulled back the curtain on its first three (of nine) DLC characters, including Starfire, Red Hood, and Sub-Zero of Mortal Kombat fame. Did one of those characters, specifically Starfire, look oddly familiar to you? Obviously, Starfire looks like the comic book character, but does she also look like a real-life celebrity?

Well, one real-life celeb sure thinks she does!
Disney Channel and Spider-Man: Homecoming star Zendaya just randomly took notice of Injustice 2(she’s never mentioned the game before) for, supposedly, lifting her likeness for Starfire.

Am I tripping or is that my face lmao https://t.co/7fSrkoNl7b

Here's the Injustice 2 tweet she was referring to. Do you think there's a resemblance?

I can kind of see it. That said, according to Zendaya the comparison doesn’t extend below the shoulders.

Hey, by NetherRealm game standards, Starfire could probably join Zendaya on the committee. They’re not so much for the realistic proportions. That aside, does Zendaya have a case about the facial resemblance?
Starfire does have a certain Zendaya-like vibe going in the picture she retweeted, but it’s much less obvious in this closer look at the character’s face.

Did some NetherRealm artist secretly sneak a little Zendaya into their Starfire design? It’s certainly a possibility. Either way, I’m sure NetherRealm is perfectly okay with one of the most popular people on the Internet tweeting about their game. Honestly, they should have done more of this. Make Catwoman look like Selina Gomez and Black Adam look like The Rock. You can’t buy that kind of advertising.
Injustice 2 brawls its way onto the Xbox One and PS4 on May 16.

About Starfire's costume: It's okay. Seriously.

This is coming from a guy that HATES T&A (fanservice or whatever you want to call it) in fighting games. It's silly in video games period, but fighting games are, imho, the WORST context you could POSSIBLY ever put that in,. Like, you strip her down to beat her up??

I hate it. I hate Ivy Valentine, I hate Felicia, I hate Rainbow Mika most of all, and her and Laura were my original reasons for skipping SFV.

Really, her costume is not bad. Is it appropriate? No. Should she fight in it? Well, no... Unless it's with another hot girl on the beach. But that's what it is... Beach wear. A bartending getup. It's true to life while being wrong for the situation.

And I can cover her up with gear, so really, I think NRS did a good job with her. She's wearing only so much so the fanservice fans won't complain, but she's wearing enough that people like me won't be up in arms

Mika's costume is based in reality on female Japanese wrestlers

I don't recall anyone saying it's a bad thing or being mad about her outfit... I was just expecting her to be all covered up because kids play this game a lot and they (NRS) definitely don't want any pornstar looking characters anymore after MK9. I was just pointing out how they managed to make her look like a whore, just a "decent" one and everyone else was discussing but no one ever complained.

The design is great IMO. Nobody was really arguing about the design.

People were just saying they prefer when Starfire is kept at a reasonable level of cheesecake (like this design) and not New 52 type monstrosities.

to me she's not dressed worst than what kids can watch on TV every Monday night...

Not at all, I was talking about MK9 like... Those were legit sluts lol and it was a bad image for kids (which is why they stopped creating female characters looking like that)

Starfire ain't got nothing on MK9 Jade/Sonya/Kitana

In general I think this sums it up:

I don't think comics Starfire should be the completely naive/innocent version from the Teen Titans cartoon, but it's good to strike a happy medium. New 52 Starfire was almost always nude and literally had no emotions other than a desire to have sex with all the men in the book.

Recent comics Starfire has been great at striking a balance between sexy and sweet/adorable:

LOL.

We're all like: ''She looks fine.'' ''She looks fine .'' ''No one is complaining.'' ''I didn't say she looks bad,'' ''She looks fine,''

Excuse me while I go check out the Aquaman General discussion, I'm sure it's much the same.

I mean.. it's not like they're talking about moves or anything... just appropriate and inappropriate swimwear.

I haven't looked here, but the injustice reddit has multiple topics with hundreds of comments about Aquaman's wardrobe choice and how sexy he is.

He has even been dubbed "Aquadaddy".

I really hope she isn't a zoner. To be honest I would actually love it if she was a grappler bc she does have super strength. I almost would go as far to say that she could be a primer skin for Supergirl because that is how I envision Starfire tbh
