As much as I hate the guest characters for MK games, I love the inclusion of said characters in Injustice. MK's feel, overall, is very comic book-esque as is, IMO. Which is why I like the idea. You'll have a tough time selling me on classic horror movie characters like Jason and Leatherface fitting into an MK game, but MK I feel you could make an actual story and it'd work.

I do agree, though, multiple MK characters is overdoing the guest appearances a little.

This is my position as well. I'd rather not have any guests in either game, personally, but I think the MK characters slot into Injustice a lot more naturally than Leatherface and Jason and Alien vs Predator slot into MK.

The only reason to put MK or Injustice1 chars in Injustice2 is because 3/4 of the work is previously done.
It´s like a sequel or a remake in cimema.

wow.....Sub Zero, I finally got who I wanted. a MK character in a game where he can't do fatalities or brutalities. Perfecto. Can't wait to jump in. Red Hood is in too, every 12 year old's dream who will drop the game in September when school starts.

Starfire? Makes too much sense to be a DLC. I was expecting Boon to put in Tanya, since we have Raiden and Sub. Boon announces the rest of the DLC's are MK characters and IGAU 2 is just really MK vs DC 2. Basically Boon slipped it in while we were sleeping. Great job, bushy eyebrow payaso.

They could have had many guest characters that are cooler, Spawn for one.
Fucking Sub Zero and Raiden i literally feel like puking, also Red Hood seriously a dude with guns just because he has a cool mask fuck me...

I'm glad I did not purchase the ultimate edition. I really only wanted Starfire and Red Hood seemed logical. Sub-Zero is fine, but based on the other silhouettes, I'll probably buy Manta and whoever the other female is a la carte.

Really disappointed here and I hope those silhouettes are just to throw us off.

wait... is Injustice 2 just going to be a shoe-in for the upcoming MKvDC 2? It seems like it is.

In other news NRS still hasn't managed to squeeze more than 9 females into their fighting games. 9/37 seems alright enough but I still feel like some icons are missing. Zatana, Raven, Batgirl, and Hawgirl specificaly. Martian Manhunter, Ares, Doomsday and Lex Luthor or also still not present. They all had a shot of making it in if we didn't bloat the roster with ported over MKX assests.

Awesome reveal. All of them look just as awesome, especially Sub-Zero and Starfire. Didn't expect to see Raiden or Black Manta too. Overall, thumbs up for NRS.

Red hood was high on the polls, again I understand. In fact I'm starting to see a theme here..

As much as I really don't want to fight Sub-Zero's bs in this game, I understand they want an MK representative..

With that said, I'm deeply disappointed that Spawn wasn't announced. He's won nearly every most wanted guest poll I've seen. I can't help but feel let down, such a huge opportunity missed..

I get that Spawn is this thing that's been bandied about forever, but people don't seem to understand that they would have to pay for him, no matter what MacFarlane says. MK guests and WB movie franchise guests are free.

I'm not saying it's impossible I'm just saying it's not as simple.

The disappointment in this thread was definitely expected and unavoidable. FYI, there's more to come.

I've heard and expect 3 guest characters - not 2. (So Subby, Raiden and one more).

That said, there's a lot of good news for DC fans. Red Hood and Starfire are here, don't forget that. And the ratio of 6 DC characters and 3 guests is a good one. That way, you're not overrun with guests and the people that aren't hardcore comic fans still have reasons to buy the DLC packs.
