Cold Is definitely a dedicated zoner. People will probably call Scarecrow a zoner too despite having crazy mid screen options.

We don't know much about gl but he will probably hybrid with the supers and blue beetle.

Thanks, forgot about Cold. I'm still puzzled on how BB will play. He has a really good projectile but I'm not sure yet.

I'm maining black adam most likely, but I'm definitely having a pocket zoner, and deadshot looks great to me

Deadshot zoning is probably so huge that to compensate that he doesn't even have decent combos midscreen. #PureZoning

Interesting, but if true it will probably polarize his matchup chart, he will obliterate some chars and get raped vs those that can get an easy way in, where he wouldn't be a threat. We will see.

Still waiting for Ketchup to expand on what he tested. My prediction is that he will have to spend bar midscreen to even do mediocre juggles, but in the corner his damage will get more interesting, even probably having safe 50/50 launchers off strings that don't launch midscreen.

Pretty happy, so far this character is the only thing that keeps me interested in buying the game, and at least he seems to be very unique.

We haven't seen much of Deadshot, but what we have seen looks promising.

Doctor Fate has that push type move(which I think is safe right?) when people get in, his normals don't look too too bad. Plus trait will help him do combos. His combo capability doesn't seem amazing but it doesn't seem awful. Combos off of throws in the corner is pretty dank. The ankhs I think will also be a big part of Doctor Fate's combo game. That last part is pure speculation though, but maybe a string will launch high enough for the 3 ankhs to connect.

As for his basic zoning, his normal projectile looks pretty good(sort of Sinestro like), the orbs will help give him an unpredictable factor, he can self heal which is great, and having access to ankhs which are tracking unblockables that can launch looks promising. Trait looks good too, the damage that his projectiles do with trait up seems nice.

If Fate and Deadshot are a bust, I don't think I'll use a zoning character. Don't care for Firestorm too much, maybe will try Cold, not sure though.

Im not too sure tbh.

I think Deadshot will be the best zoner by far because he has so many specials for it, supported by his trait. Ketchup has also said it is really good, as well as the fact he has a few juggles mid screen as well (a lot in the corner). The raw speed of his guns is insane.

Dr Fate looks very good in terms of zoning, with the health pool being an added bonus. Yet, why stop firing the quick ones and do the health, it seems to just relive pressure fullscreen and give them time to think and possibly react. Furthermore, his slow orb seems really slow, so why stop with the quick ones. If you have a bar it will be good, but it seems more of a setup tool than keep out tool.

Firestorm's projectile is insane, ngl. He could be the best. Deadshot is quick but it seems that firestorm is quicker. Shame I hate his face.

Cap's could be very good but not too sure on the speed of it all. I dont get his EXupice thing, that creates a block. Seems bit pointless from a zoning perspective.

The speed of the projectile isn't everything that makes a zoner great, Quan's projectiles are slower than most of MKX's kast yet he outzones everyone thanks to fast Runes. Do you remember why you don't only rune them the whole time but put the bat or an air skull on the screen as soon as you get some time to breath?!That is why you have to put something on the screen besides you fast options. Orbs, healing or damaging ankh etc. Repeating one fast option can't keep somebody out for good, and if it can than it is broke and will eventually be nerfed.
In my opinion only seeing how all character's tools work in unison can give you an idea of how good of a zoner he is going to be. Right now we can only speculate since all the frame data, damage, health regen. and meterbuilding numbers are a subject to change.

little did we know zoning was gonna be absolute in this game lol.

Can't wait till Inj2 is done so we can start to focus on MK11.
