Darkseid Speculation/Intro/Discord thread

This thread is to speculate on the ruler of Apokolips.

If by some chance you don't know who Darkseid is, Darkseid is interested in taking away all free will and changing the universe into his own image. To do this he attacks earth because he believes that humans have fragments of the Anti-Life Equation (what he plans on using to take away all beings free will.) Darkseid is an evil god and his list of powers and abilities are as follows:

• Superhuman strength, speed, and durability
• Flight
• Energy and mass manipulation
• Telekinesis
• Invulnerability
• Teleportation
• Time travel
• Immortality
• Omega powers, including projection of Omega beams
• Avatar creation
• Energy absorption

Honestly I thought he could be a zoner with his OP ass Omega beams but idk. I really don't know what he's gonna excel at or be his weakness. He'll probably suffer at the mid range and pummel you up close but also have a good projectile

That's my one big reservation. I love Darkseid, but Goro left a bad taste in my mouth for bonus characters. #suckwalk

His character power is a taunt

MKvsDC was actually an awesome game....

Also, I wish they would bring back the combo challenge. This meant even the lowliest player had a few nice cool looking BnBs... it really helped newbies and was a fun mode to quickly get a handle on a character to take into ranked for some fun.

I think it was one of the best trial modes, and a shame it has not been in any game since.

SF and Tekken have always had combo challenges and they're great to spend time on.
Helps you also get an idea of how to play the character on certain positions and the properties of certain moves

Raiden and Shinnok up there in that top tier, let's hope this stays true for Darkseid

I'm gonna wait a while before getting excited for Darkseid in case he's ass tier. Honestly even mid tier would be an insult to Darkseid.
