I'm most excited for the newcomers and who is going to surprise us this time, but I expect people from all three of the previous games to do work, not everyone, but I expect a wide array of the Betty Crocker mix crew.

I might not be a top player in Injustice 2 but dammit my Swamp Thing will at least be known of.

Pretty sure it will be MKx era and NEW players....

Lets face it... competitive fighting games is a young boys game. "old man reflexes" as Mr Aquaman calls them is a legit thing... Kids like Dragon will mawp.


Also even dynamite players like Fox will have to face reality of playing less to go to university and work on a career. Marriage, kids, work, life gets in the way.. At this stage the money in FGC eSports just can not support full time players (yes there are a few exceptions).

So in addition to players getting a little slower on the trigger as they age, they also just can not put in as much time. This means that the young kids from MKx and new players will shine in IJ2.

Also I read a interesting post by Silvereyes recently (I forget if that is spelt correctly) but for the 1st time ever NRS games have decent netcode. This will bring in a host of new players that never had the chance to really practice with high level players in a meaningful way. That and the host of online events (I expect a ESL and StremMe cups for example) will mean they will get a shot at those top tier players.. This will probably lead to a host of new young blood coming to the off lines.

I might not be a top player in Injustice 2 but dammit my Swamp Thing will at least be known of.

Yeah... I think the best the old guard can hope for is to be a lab monster who finds technology for everyone, maybe running a fun stream ass kicking noobs like Max dose.

Sylverrye is 26. I'm not sure how old Hayatei is but he certainly isn't 15 or 17. People are just more hungry when it's their first go around I think.

Thing is, I wouldn't choose any of these groups. My group would be called:

Z. Players who were good in Injustice and are still good at MKX + MKX top players

That would be people like Sonic, Scar, Foxy, DJT, Forever King, etc. with the addition of Dragon, Raptor etc. Also 2 new people will move from the MKX "I'm placing but not completely top" club into the true group of absolute top players.

Basically Injustice 1 is the cutoff point. But if you were just good at Injustice 1, and not MKX, you're probably going to get mopped by the new crop.
