I would think the way you play in neutral and cancel in MKX would be very applicable to For Honor.

That's what I was thinking. Since I basically only used Warlord in the open beta, using armor well is in my vocabulary.

And it IS the best way to play. What other strategy is better? Think about it. What other strategy is better than playing defensive and waiting on your opponent to make mistakes? You still haven't said why this strategy isn't the best, or said what other strategy is better.

Everyone is complaining about exactly what I and others have said the meta at higher levels would look like. Like you literally just complained about it and blamed it on people stating it's the best strat. Wanna know why they're playing that way? Because it is the best strat. We can't will the best meta strat into existence just because we want to, not how it works. We simply stated how we feel the high level play would look, and what a shocker that's what it is shaping up to be.

No thats not true!!! People who just turtle the entire time are the exact opposite of high level players. People who can't beat turtlers are terrible players who dont understand the game. I know how to beat the dashing attacks its just a pain really.

NO THEY ARE WRONG!!!!! You can't block everything on reaction, guard break tech on reaction leaves you vulnerable, and parrying IS NOT SAFE!!! The best neutral option is a fient and it is not risky at all you can block immediately after it just costs stamina.

Because you have to press a button that can be punished? You people know nothing about this game

You can't block many feints into zone attacks on reaction.
Parrying is definitely not safe what do you think the point in feints are??????

You said best option in neutral is fient or fient attacks, but even that is risky.
"Parrying is safe when it lands" key word when it lands
"You can easily predict and telegraph the enemies attacks, when you do, free parry." you mean a read
Some characters feint into zone attacks are fast enough to not be reactable to block much less parry. Sure parrying fient attacks is doable but as a read not on reaction.
If you try to parry a fient your getting punished

You're not presenting an argument to debate. Literally read all those quotes. All you're essentially saying is that defensive play isn't the best option. The only other possible strategy you've proposed is feints/feint attacks. Feints by themselves are not an offensive move, they're for baiting. And fient attacks, where you cancel the heavy into another attack, while the best option for offense, is still not as good as defensive play. There's no downside to playing defensively as long as you have decent reactions and know the matchups. The risk reward factor for playing offensively against a good player is ridiculous compared to playing defensively against a good player. This isn't to say you can't have an effective offensive strategy or playstyle, but this does nothing to diminish the fact that defensive play is the best strat in the game.
