Did you forget how fucked up PC release was?
boi...but at least they deliver a complete game at launch
Nope. I first bought it on pc because I'm an idiot. Mem leaks, crashes out the ass. Then for XB1, then when my xbox died on me I got it for PS4. But I almost feel we're at the point nowadays where we almost have to expect those kinds of things when we're talking about games designed for consoles being ported over to pc. It sucks to say, but the pc community is but a blip on their radarboi...

I can't speak for everyone, but I know I was annoyed moreso by the lack of solid info (unaware that Quan has a gap in rune if delayed to be plus, citing advantage on block mixups of which there are very few, unaware of gaps in supergirl's offense, etc.) then the balance stuff.Thats not what im talking about. Im talking about when someone takes the time to write a detailed and thoughtful post about their opinion hoping to spark good discussion and people dont even give it the time of day because he is not a top player
So you expect that you'll get an unfinished product that's labeled as a full release? Jesus.Nope. I first bought it on pc because I'm an idiot. Mem leaks, crashes out the ass. Unfinished is not the same as having unexpected technical issues. So you expect that you'll get an unfinished product that's labeled as a full release? Jesus.
That's exactly why NRS can keep producing shitty games and nothing will change.
'unexpected' seriously? Do you think they had no idea how shitty the game was on release?Unfinished is not the same as having unexpected technical issues.
And NRS/High Voltage are not the first devs to screw up porting a console game to PC.
Lol. You're right, they released their game on Steam knowing it was broken and waited for all the support tickets to come pouring in and then laughed about it over some cold ones.'unexpected' seriously? Do you think they had no idea how shitty the game was on release?
So what they're not the first devs? It's still unacceptable.
So you're fine when you order a burger and get a bun and some ketchup, because it's not the first restaurant to screw up?
People that disagree with the OP confirmed dick riders and not people with their own opinions. Lol k.If Sonic Fox or Scar made a thread exactly like this the very same people who are blowing up Belial would be praising Sonic and Scar and telling them how right they are and how much they agree. It is like you are not allowed to have an opinion around here without getting blown up for it by the majority of the community unless you are one of the top 5-10 players in the world. I personally agree with much of what was said in the OP. He may over generalize (specifically over stating the amount of plus 50/50s in the current build of MKX) but most of his points are right on.
It's almost like you're playing an incomplete version of the game or something....Only problem is scrubby as fuck characters like super girl:
So I have to take a ridiculous 9frame advancing mid with a low. Since second hit is a low, I'm stuck blocking low as she can just walk back.
Then on block I have to guess if she's going to:
A) stagger f12
B) f12 laser for plus frames
C) breath
1) then guess if she's going to rekka
2) mb for plus frames
D) cancel into mb teleport
Then has very good zoning and I have to keep walking to her for fear of oh tele..
Smh nrs never change
Haha true but knowing nrsIt's almost like you're playing an incomplete version of the game or something....
It's like we don't have a number of complete games by NRS to see where this is going. It's almost like you're playing an incomplete version of the game or something....
Because every game is exactly the same, lol. It's like we don't have a number of complete games by NRS to see where this is going.
Ironically, he's right. It's clear from their past few games NRS doesn't want to make MK9 again.Because every game is exactly the same, lol.
Each game has improved from MK9 in terms of balance, as far as I'm concerned and it's not like they haven't listened to the community.Ironically, he's right. It's clear from their past few games NRS doesn't want to make MK9 again.
We are probably like .01% of their total game sales to be honest. But casual players do pay more and more attention to the competative community these days and I believe it is growing (especially with improved accessibility with things like ESL)I would like to recommend this thread being closed. It is purely subjective and antagonizing. The OP made some good posts but it turned to non-sense.
I think there is a more constructive way to offer feedback about elements we do not like. I WANT TO POINT SOMETHING OUT... EVERYONE FROM THIS SITE USUALLY SPEAKS FROM A TOURNAMENT PLAYER PERSPECTIVE AND IGNORES THE CASUAL BASE WHICH IS A HUGE PART OF THE SALES. A lot of the factors that I really can't stand are there to appeal to casuals so they buy the game and DLC. Its a business. Whether we like it or not the Tournament community is not the reason NRS makes these games. We are a platform and a form of advertising for them.
Lol yes they do. KP1 and 2? Had to pay for that. It's the same thing SFV is doing with season 1 and 2. The same thing with KI seasons. Want more costumes? They all do it. Not once has NRS made a game and the rest of the DLC content was free.Could be worse. Could pay $60 for a shell of a game upon release (SFV anyone?). You also don't have to pay to upgrade to newer versions of the same game. Wonder how many editions of SFV there will end up being. NRS might not be perfect when it comes to balance, but at least they deliver a complete game at launch and don't keep nickel and diming you throughout the game's life cycle.
KI wasn't $60 at launch, though. I think the idea with the other games is that you pay more if you want the new content as it's introduced.Lol yes they do. KP1 and 2? Had to pay for that. What got people angry with SFV was being a full-price game at launch.
MKX, even before KP1, had a complete suite of content and modes. In fact, MKX before any kombat packs would still be considered more complete than SFV is now.
