Balrog is very close to top 5 if not top.. at no point are you safe and once he had trigger he can kill you from full health with basically one mixup. Not literally, but it's close. His neutral is solid, his buttons are sound his damage is among the highest in the game, he had a not-quite-real-but-close-enough low/oh where the OH can be combo'd out of for damage ranging from respectable to redonkulous. He had good pressure. A great AA, he can get around zoning, he had great corner carry, and so on and so on.
I mained him in s1 for a while and felt like he was underrated by most people, and he's just plain stronger now.
