I don't get why people are saying her moveset is underwhelming.

She's a fucking human lol. She doesn't fly. Doesn't have lasers, super powers, super strength, none of that shit. She's a legit human being who knows martial arts and screams.

Y'all making it seem like y'all want her to teleport, throw fireballs, turn super Saiyan or some shit lol. She's doing what a martial artist should do.

I think you need to research the character more. Black Canary can actually use a large variety of weapons and (from what I remember) is the 2nd best martial artist in the DC universe. However, there's already a sword guy, a gadget guy, and most likely a staff character as well, so it makes sense to not give her those weapons as well for diversity and have her rely on agility and close combat.

What are those unique weapons? Batons are the only weapons that she doesn't share with other somewhat popular DC characters and they didn't give them to her.

Being 2nd best or the best martial artist doesn't mean anything in fighting game. How do you even depict that on screen? Unless there are some unique moves that can only be performed by 2nd best martial artist.

I can name atleast 10 DC character who can perform all her combo strings shown in trailer + more

The fact that she's a human doesn't seem to be peoples' problem, Khaotik. It's the fact that she's got similar moves to characters from other NRS games.

I'm sad because I am not feeling the Injustice hype. None of the characters have grabbed my attention yet.

I think Batman and the Joker should be in the game just because they are too iconic for DC, but rest should be people who at least have superhuman powers.

That's the thing, through; the DC universe is diverse and plentiful, containing a plethora of characters with different powers and abilities. Demi-gods are cool and all, but it's also refreshing to see things mixed up with characters like Black Canary who utilise both interesting abilities (sonic screams, 'nough said) in conjunction with martial arts combat. It's also much smarter marketing wise, so of course NRS will take that approach.

The only real issue I have is gender-swapped characters. I mean, Superman and Supergirl? Almost as redundant as Batgirl in IGAU. Sure, the characters have different play styles, but they still possess the same abilities, they just tweak the female counterpart's playstyle to be more swift and agile.

I can see how that could be annoying, but at the same time, people need to realize that this game is still in development and a lot of these moves can still be placeholders. It happens ALL THE TIME, especially in NRS games.

I remember back in a Deception trailer when Scorpion was doing the Arm Rip fatality to Sindel. That was just a placeholder since that ended up being Darrius' fatality. Even the scream sindel let out during the fatality ended up being a placeholder because Mileena had that scream at launch.

I'm sure Black Canary's moveset will change. People just need to calm down

The game is three months away. Her overall style won't really change, but there's still time for polish.
