I decided to try and get back into this game since I played it for all of 2 hours after buying it when it released.

Who is a good character to start off with to learn the game? I'd rather not use Ryu if he's the "best" character to start off with. I was looking at Necalli or maybe Guile. I have enough Fight Money to purchase any DLC character if one of them is good to learn with as well.

I would start with Necalli. He's very good and has a little bit of everything. Buy Guile with your fight money. He's probably the best zoner in the game. Necalli fits your style more as a Doomsday player.

I agree with Rip Torn, if you liked Doomsday Necalli will fill that void in more ways than one.

Necalli is a smart choice. Urien is worth considering as well. Looks exceptionally strong in s2 and has a bit of what all the other dlc chars have combined.

I'm a big fan of footage and Haitani is my fav Necalli. Arguably the best.

So I'm finally getting SFV.

I have a couple questions about two characters that I'm looking into using.

Dhalsim: He's always been one of my favorites. He'll most likely be my main throughout SFV. From what I can tell, he seems to be very strong in this game. I'd like to know everyones else's opinion is on him and how he performs now in season 2.

M. Bison: I've always liked his character design. But I was never any good at using him. I heard he sucked ass in season 1, but got a lot of buffs in season 2. Is he worth picking up now? How bad was he pre-patch?

Not when only 10 or so people are above the diamond tier in Master

it just means that Capcom should keep the platinums and below on one side of the fence and diamonds/above on the other we don't want to catch the scrubitis
